Thanks, breh. 25000 rebuilt on both the engine and the transmission (th400) done at the same time. I dont want to jinx the thing, but the work looks increadibly solid to my mechanic, and I can't spot an issue, not that i necesarily would. The gears are long, so it doesnt take off from a dead stop as hard as it should, but you can kill tires in it without trying. Cost was in the four figures, a completely solid and resonable deal.
Nope, I got new doors and a new hood, I just have to mount them--theres a little more body damage than that, but that will mostly do it. She still drives fine, amazingly. They don't make cars like that anymore, if that had happened in anything made after 80, i would be dead. I even got the current passenger door to clasp and unclasp like new again after a half hour with a rubber mallet
I'm picking up the second car I've ever owned again this week. I gave it to my brother in law, he fucked it up further, then got a FWD something or other. The landlord's threatening to tow it, so I'm getting it back!

I got a funny, racist cool story bro, when I bought the ride. It had been restored by a couple, and the wife had the title in her name and had been refusing to sign it for a while. I'd only talked to the husband on the phone, and when I pull up at their place, she gets all upset. She and her husband had some kind of deal where if I was black she wouldnt have to sell it to me becase I woud ruin in by putting rims on it. So when a white guy in his 30s arrived, she was out of excuses. She told me all this after a few beers, and prefaced it with "im not racist but...."

Texas Swangin' influences KC moreso than Cali or Florida does when it comes to cars, and they don't typically swang on 30's.
I would go so far as to say that all the different types of vehicle customization are bleeding into each other, though, which kind of validates the opinion.

I wanna make t-shirts that say on the front, I'm not racist but..... I think those would sell like god damm hotcakes, also have u seen those commericals were they play HS or college footage of NBA stars and have some corny as fan from the future jerkin em off, they need to quit that shit is tired already, just seen the Chris Paul one, turrible
