but at the same time i see why blacks would want reparations and indians would want compensation for the land that was stolen from them ( i think indians have a better case honestly). i can never understand truly so im talkin as a outsider but wut ive said is just my opinion. i mean no disrespect to anyone

there is no doubt the color of one's skin had an effect on the opportunity here in america at one time. wanting a handout in the name of ancestors is not going to relieve the pain of the people who suffered through this horrible time in history. everyone knows it was wrong. you cant change yesterday. what can be done to help the communities that need it the most in 2009 is my question. indians were deceived and stripped of their land and people of color were oppressed. terrible no doubt, but nothing can be done to change that. something from 1887 still being litigated is crazy in itself.
This is not about reparations alone, but if I owed someone 20,000 dollars, but they happen to die before I finally paid them back and I knew that money could help his/her family, I still feel the noble thing to do is pay that money to his children or any lasting relatives he had...that would be the LEAST I could do, especially when I was ABLE to pay him BEFORE he died, but I was an asshole and didnt...at least thats what I would do and would want done for my children...but I guess you see it as "ah you died, oh well..I guess u I dont owe you s--t"...thats what a savage MF would do.....oh well...just thinking from another point of view...
Do I need reparations? f--k no...would I take it? of course....but I know its never going to happen so I do me regardless by taking advantage of the opportunities that my ancestors werent aloud to have. I am thankful for being able to do so and no "my bad" money is going to make black people get over how f--ked up America used to be, especially when we still have people reaping benefits of slavery. America f--ked up by not giving what was owed to black people long ago. Oh well...all we can do is move foward...the more racist mf's die off, the better as a country we will be..
