lol i havent been in this thread in hella long

but umm...as a dodger fan i would agree that manny along with lowe and ethier beasting down the stretch are the only reasons we made the playoffs. manny was the most important. no manny, no playoffs.

The Dodgers signed Jones last winter to boost the offense, but he hit .158 with three home runs in 75 games. The five-time All-Star reported to camp overweight, underwent knee surgery in May and ended the season on the bench.

The National League West champions have cut their payroll from $119 million on opening day last season to a projected $65 million in 2009, pending any additions.




For years the best CF I have ever seen may be out of a job in 2009. He has lost his way!

but if you dig deeper you will also see that Bills and Koruda put up rediculous IP's, Brox and Wade were missing bats and Berroa got hot until Raffie got back....its was a true team effort, although i agree that manny was the largest part of it
