Like the first minute and 40 seconds of the song I was just like "this is kind of weird" and then when everything kicks in it just turns totally fucking awesome.

I think I've listened to it about a 10 times since posting it.

Have you ever heard El Guincho Ricky? He is like the spanish equivalent of Panda Bear from Animal Collective. Really good stuff.

El Guincho is the recording alias of Spanish musician Pablo Díaz-Reixa. Also a member of Coconot, Díaz-Reixa rose to prominence with his 2008 album, Alegranza!. His musical style, influenced by a broad range of artists like Animal Collective and Os Mutantes, relies heavily on the use of sampling and incorporates elements of Afrobeat, dub, Tropicália and rock and roll as Díaz-Reixa achieves what he's described as a kind of "space-age exotica".

I'm going to go the RJ fanboy route and say Animal Collective just might be the best band on the planet right now. I think this might be the best song I've ever heard by them and it's their most accessible song to date. But still the song is in no means mainstream sounding although I could hear this getting played on the radio.

I can't wait until Jan 20th. Or the album leaks, whatever lol.

^^^ yeah man El Guincho is awesome. i posted something about it a while back i think idk we were talking about Ruby Suns. cuz i posted the Palmitos Park cover they have. that is such a good song

Here is some pre-BMSR albums. It was only Tobacco and one other member at that time (I forget who) then they added two more members and became BMSR.

Yeah...oh, fuck yeah.

BMSR has climbed the ranks as one of my favorite. Anyime you can fuse psychadelic and down-tempo/trip-hop...you have a fuckin winner.

Yeah, seems like they went in a total different direction after they added the new members. This stuff was more acoustic guitar driven and pretty minimalist in style.

I quite liked it from a brief run through personally.

Even though they sound totally different their new stuff is easily the greater of the two though.

wow i feel like i just stepped in to a time travelling machine. ive been listening to all the albums i havent listened to in like years possibly. i can now say that..... Circa Survive is awesome
