we waste $25 billion a year on war on drugs yet these idiots in office dont realize that war is a failure......they just want to continue fundin it just to show the voters somethin is being done about drugs......im not sure how many children would get health coverage with that money....it sure would be a lot more efficient to spend all that shit on health care
No republican and most politicians don't want to single themselves out to support medical marijuana. It makes them look like potheads and they dont want to risk their entire career to get weed legalized. They probably all smoked at some point. Maybe when the baby boomer generation is assimilated in the AARP and they all start getting old people disorders there will be a public cry to legalize medical marijuana, but its just not an issue that gets someone elected. Especially when old people think its the same as heroin and people with sticks up their asses refuse to believe its more effective than synthetic pot. No one's gonna put themselves on the line for pot. Even extremely moral people who get into politics to do some good...they know they have bigger fish to fry than getting a drug legalized.
But Romney still handled that like a straight up bitch.
I highly recommend you guys actually read the dialogue from the congressional records of the house and senate when they voted to pass the marijuana tax act in 1937. The doctor from the American Medical Association..Woodward i think...testified that it would be a huge mistake to make weed illegal. The politicians just laughed at him and blew him off, and then when the issue went for the final vote, the speaker straight up lied and said the AMA gave their full approval to legalize marijuana.
