yeah i know what you mean, those are pretty rare too, but the special request tapes are even before he went to 75 Girls Records.

i'm suprised r8r doesn't have any. i know you're lookin though.

i own several cassette tapes of too short spittin to the instrumental of "friends" by whodini, that mike mosley gave me in 83 or 84. i think the songs he does on them is "cuss words" and "flat booty bitches", but i aint played them in years. i see em in my closet everytime i go back to cali.

i can hook up the head phone jack from my (walkman) cassette player and run it into my computer and rip it on one of my programs. i'll be back in the bay in july or so if u want me to rip it for ya, just holla and i'll be happy to.

its better ta hook it up too a stereo player like a AIWA or SONY or some kinda house stereo for maximum output, clean the tape player head witta q-tip & rubbing alcohol, make sure you dab it before applying, dont want it runnin' and let it dry before inserting tape. use the audio jacks [red & white] the best ones you got [gold tips are best for reducing hiss] and go line out from your stereo in the back, line in into your comp wit that little "Y" converter [one side is the headphone lookin plug the other is the 2 piece audio chord recievin end] you find at radioshack. its nothin in cool edit or whatever.

I have a tape Too $hort and Freddy B recorded in their bedroom in 1983. I posted it on here on two occassions for people to download. It's not exactly a 'special request' where they used to get paid by a person to rap about them but it was from the same era and recorded in the same way.

I don't exactly remember where it is but I know for a fact I still have it. I'll dig around and upload it. If I don't because I forget just send me a PM to remind me.

Got this one a while back.. It's not mine, but this was leaked on irc in the past.. It's one of those tapes so thats why the sound is low and not the best of quality, along with the fact that Too $hort and Freddy B were using real cheap sound machine equipment.. It's still classic though and real Too $hort fans should appreciate this.

MoonChild where have you been? Do you still do the video thing? I still can't find some of the videos that you had and I have been building up a collection for a while now.
