Two rising Stockton rappers, Nano (Luciano Guerrero) and Dougy3z (Billy Williams, also known as Fly Boy Dougy), were taken into custody last week on parole violations following a mass shooting at a child’s birthday party. Both men appeared in San Joaquin County Superior Court on December 4, 2025, dressed in orange jail jumpsuits, as prosecutors outlined their alleged parole breaches.

Authorities emphasized that neither rapper is charged with the shooting itself, but their presence at the party violated parole conditions tied to prior convictions.

The arrests stem from a horrific attack on November 29, 2025, at the Monkey Space banquet hall in Stockton. Gunfire erupted during a child’s birthday celebration, leaving four people dead including three children and 13 others injured.

Witnesses described chaos as partygoers scrambled for safety. Dougy3z later claimed in a jailhouse interview that he initially mistook the gunshots for balloons popping and said he tried to shield children during the violence.

Background & Prior Arrests

• Nano (Luciano Guerrero, 22): Convicted in September 2023 for felony firearm possession.

• Dougy3z (Billy Williams): Previously arrested during Operation Boogieman, a Stockton Police initiative launched in 2024 targeting gun violence and gang activity.

• Both rappers were among 74 individuals arrested during that crackdown, which focused on alleged ties to Stockton’s Muddy Boyz and Fly Boy Crips networks.

Law enforcement has identified Nano as an active gang member, though official confirmation of affiliations remains limited. Online speculation suggests the shooting may have been linked to ongoing tensions between local crews, but investigators have not publicly tied Nano or Dougy3z to the attack itself.

While Nano and Dougy3z await parole hearings, the Stockton community continues to mourn the victims of the Monkey Space shooting. For the underground rap world, the arrests highlight both the promise and peril of artists navigating legacies tied to the streets.
