X-Raided returns with “Make A Change,” a pivotal track from the rapper’s “California Dreamin'” project. Here we find X in rare form, spitting effortlessly atop production from his frequent collaborator, Joey Mystro. The two have developed significant chemistry.
“’Make A Change’ is an attempt to highlight some of the reasons why we go the wrong way in the streets,” said X-Raided. “Our father’s play a strong role in either allowing or preventing us from accepting guidance or misguidance from other male figures who are just as lost as we are. Our children follow them down a road that ends with prison at best and death at worst. I wanted to give an example of how that happens in verse one, and give cautionary encouragement in verse two. I feel like I pulled that off.”
