There’s a reason RJ Payne is the newest member of Benny The Butcher’s Black Soprano Family (BSF).
It comes down to bars which RJ, formerly known by his battle rap name Reign Man, has in abundance. Prior to linking up with Benny, RJ, had already established himself as one of the best lyricists on the indie scene.
His “If Cocaine Could Talk” album series, as well as “The Elohim” project put fellow emcees on notice that there was a new sheriff in town. Next up is RJ’s “Leatherface” LP, which drops next week.
