Same director as Drive.

Plot

According to a production synopsis, the film follows Julian, who runs a Thai boxing club as a front organization for his family's drug smuggling operation, as he is forced by his mother Jenna to find and kill the individual responsible for his brother's recent death.

I cant wait to see it. i know it's been getting bad buzz, but fuck em, They were probably just expecting "Drive 2"

and Drive was pretty different from Refn's other stuff.

Refn's a crazy motherfucker, and he does the movies the way he wants, so yeah it'll get violent.

I'm kinda leaning towards not really liking this movie. In a way it reminded me of beyond the black rainbow (which I thought was a great movie) with its over stylized cinematogrophy, but beyond the black rainbow wasn't trying to be deep it was just trying to look cool. I feel like Only God Forgives is attempting to seem deep by adding David Lynch like pacing and jarring cuts but in the end comes up short. The violence is great and powerful, which has always been Refn's strong point, but thats about it. I'll probably watch this movie again and maybe I'll get more out of next time, but right now I wasn't really feeling it.

I copped this, but really had no interest in it until checking this thread. Sounds like a dope flick I'll have to peep it.
