This game is really addicting. Like im enjoying every aspect of it. Shooting foo's is so on point and causing carnage when like trying to stop "criminals from getting to there destination" is so awesome cuz of so much detail. Hacking is so fun, if Splinter Cell is like it im glad i havent played one of those in a long time. This shit is damn near 10/10 to me, only thing preventing it probably is the driving cuz it seems kinda fake in cars turns way to much one way when barely taping to the side not so much motorcycles thats pretty realistic

Seems like there's so much to do kinda overwhelming at first, but I agree game is dope. The driving is the only negative and thats only cuz I'm so used to GTA5 which was perfect for my liking, but yeah I stick to motorcycles which are the best. I played for 2-3 hours last night and I think I only did one main mission lol like I said hella shit to do.

Shooting foo's is so on point
i saw a gameplay video where the main character was chasing someone and shot them in the spine from 8 metres behind and the person carried on running as if nothing was the matter.

your point is invalid

furthermore the driving is shit

not good enough, fuck this game

There's so many angry GTA dick riders it's laughable. They said this game sold more for Ubisoft in the first 24 hours then any other game of theres. Haven't seen any other updates since yesterday

ill try it just out of interest, but to be honest with you im gonna do a saints row explanation, i never played that game because it seemed too close to gta. same with this. just sandbox bullshit. cops come, stupid dispather sounds made. like the only game i wanna play where i run around like one player and do random mission shit is GTA. the hacking shit seems like a cool idea but at the same time it seems like it needs to be evolutionized or expanded on as a whole before its going to become cool. i kinda wanna see games like this take a turn where the shooting mechanics become more like call of duty, and the hacking ad stealth takes more of a metal gear sort of feel. maybe im taking games putting them together and thinking up a 'dream team' sort of idea, but its in the middle of 2014 and i expect better with games right now. watch dogs just seems way behind in its idea, makes me feel like jet set radio could be released now (with slightly better graphics) and sell perfectly.

i like the idea of the game but seeing the walkthroughs or people playing it (IGN) im just not sold. theres nothing that happens where im like WOW that seems so dope i gotta cop this. GTA had so many dope moments in the game that id damn near play it again just thinking about it now.

id like to see a sequel of this game once they get their shit together,t hink about it a little more and make it cooler. i only have an xbox 360 because ive yet to be sold on ps4 or xbox 1, and games like this aint gonna get me to cop.

im gonna eventually rent this at redbox but i do not expect a great play that makes me go out and cop. dont get me wrong i have the money to buy a new console, or a new game, but i just dont see the hype in this yet. i dont think its too much like gta 5, which to me is a bad thing, but i also dont see the special shit in it either.

only thing that looked slightly cool to me was the 'hacking' which seems like it could get old. i mean, ive hacked in real life. i want to see hacking in a game completely reidiculously hard to do unless you are intelligent or able to solve hard math or engineering type problems.

the idea of this game was greatly executed i just think the actual finished version of the game didnt reach what they wanted it to be. once again im gonna try it out and see if my opinion changes but right now i wont be mad if it dosent, ill expect it. i just want more, more, more. if we gotta play a new sandbox title i want to see a huge fucking difference. and the idea of the driving not being good, yeah i dunno if i held that against them, but that pretty much proves my point on how this game needed to step its bars up.

i HOPE i love this game and i take everything back. but right now im not really hopeful looking at it. thats sad cuz i want a new game to play man.

The game was actually supposed to be a driving game at first, not an open world title so they kept the driving system/engine they had in place.

That's the problem is comparing this with GTA. If you're expecting a GTA5 clone you'll be disappointed cus it's not that kind of game. If you like Ubisoft games then you'll like WD. It's like Assassin's Creed mixed with Splinter Cell with some elements of Far Cry, but in big ass Chicago.
Pretty much this. You have to go in with the mindset that this is a Ubsisoft game, not so much as an open world or GTA competition, and things will really make sense to you.

Game is pretty good so far. I've already racked up over $200,000 lol. Getting money is hella easy in this game. Graphics aren't as good as I thought they would be, but they're still pretty good.

I do have a few complaints though. I'm not liking the driving much, but I'll get used to it. I haven't heard a single song that I liked, so I just keep the radio off. I don't like that the cops can be so far away and on a completely different street and still catch up to you. You pretty much have to use hacks to crash them and lose your wanted level. The last thing that's super annoying is not everything is saved exactly if you die in a mission. I'll elaborate after the spoiler tag...

***MINOR SPOILER***
There's a mission where i crossed a small waterway using a boat and Jordi was covering me with a sniper rifle. Well I was escaping and went back to the boat, the helicopter was spotlighting me, blah blah blah, I ended up dying before I could escape. It reloaded and I went back and the boat was gone. Completely fucked me up, so then I had to figure out a different escape strategy. Why the fuck didn't it save the boat where it was???

in this case you'd expect the driving mechanics to be solid like those of GTA, however they are like the driving from true crime streets of la lol

this game could have been very good with a bit more polish

The driving isn't terrible it's just not as good as GAT5 driving. I see people saying it's the worst driving ever etc lol exaggerating just a lil bit. It's not great but not terrible either. Could be better but when I got this game it wasn't for driving. We already knew there wasn't going to be car mods and shit like that a long time ago.

Nah man, this has to be the worst driving I've ever played and remember, I haven't even cracked open my GTAV yet. Just the feel of the cars and hitting those turns are way off. I have Forza (really deep), Wipeout HD ( fun game) Split/Second (fun game but more of an arcade feel and WD was inspired by it) and another racer but can't remember the title. And I've played numerous other titles with cars like LA Noire and GTA IV and this just doesn't feel right.

IMHO, the real meat and potatoes of driving is actually using focus while you're doing and hacking while your driving to trigger things (this is why I compare it to Split/second) but in order to even get to that point, you have to nail the feel of the cars down. I watched my bro play the other day and he was stopping at every stop sign and going like 25mph because he had no handles, lol.

Which reminds me, if you were to play this game in a "realistic" way, meaning no fast travel, no stealing cars, no running all the time and obeying traffic laws unless it's a story element, how long would it take one to beat the game? I think I'm gonna try that.
