It's from the writer of Training Day, David Ayer. This will be the second movie he directed. The first was Harsh Times. He also wrote Dark Blue, S.W.A.T, and the first Fast and The Furious. The Director of Training Day was Antoine Fuqua, who's next movie is going to be the Pablo Escobar movie.

David Ayer did a good job with Training Day but I'm hoping this new one is better than Harsh Times. Like ayo4yayo said above, I'm not so sure about the wisdom of casting Keanu Reeves, an actor who typically plays characters of honesty/integrity, as a rogue LAPD officer.

i like reeves...i don't c why people don't like him...but that's just me...anyways under it's original title i wouldn't of even thought twice to see this movie...i mean "The Night Watchman." sounds like a gay porno movie to me.
