Is anyone here a fan? Name some of your favorites.
Here are a few:
The Passion of Joan of Arc (Carl Theodor Dreyer)--You'll never see a more beautiful performance from an actor/actress than the one given by Marie Falconetti as Joan. She never acted on screen again. I imagine this just took to much out of her. If I didn't know any better, I'd think we were watching footage of the real historical character.
Sunrise (F.W. Murnau)--a top winner (along with "Wings") at the 1st Annual Academy Awards. Highly recommended.
Metropolis (Fritz Lang)--An early sci-fi masterpiece.
