Okung took a terrible deal and the offer the Steelers gave him was better. This is why you need an agent.

I imagine SEA will just start signing every bum lineman available on top of drafting a few, let them all compete and see what sticks. I just hope whatever they end up with can gel faster than they did this last season (took about 7 weeks before they started doing decent).

BTW so far this off season (and I realize we have a long way to go), the Hawks have gotten worse and AZ has gotten better.
Don't forget about our draft picks, I'm not worried yet. Our later round picks are like other teams first and second rounders lol. If Schneider still has the magic, the line will definitely improve. That Jimmy Graham deal landed us a nice pick; Schneider could possibly get a total stud with that, dude we're going to have like 7-10 picks! Like 2-0-Sixx said though hopefully it's not a 6-8 week horror show like last year.

Trust in the draft, I think Schneider has been carefully molding all these deals to make this the best draft yet. Crossing fingers for O-line to be the focus

Yeah man I am not panicking because we are certainly still a top tier team, but the facts in this off season clearly show us treading water at best and AZ improving.

I would hope you are right about the draft, but I went into the draft last year thinking "these guys must be focusing on o-line" and then we picked 3 guys who have so far had basically no impact on the team.

Tom Cable is on recorded saying he basically doesn't think O-linemen coming out of college are any good in general, and he would rather pick d-linemen and start them from scratch. The Sweezy experiment went OK in that regard but other than him, our drafting of O-lineman and/or converting O-lineman to O-lineman has been nothing but underwhelming and is probably our biggest weakness.

The good news is they don't need a great offensive line, they just need a consistently mediocre one. So rebuilding isn't some massive task. But they absolutely need to hit big in the draft, they can't afford anymore John Moffitt's. I'm not sure how they've been doing their offensive lineman scouting, but I hope they bring in a couple outside minds to evaluate this year's draft.

I don't think anyone expects Brandon Browner to be anything more than locker room motivation and to get the secondary hitting harder again. He's a bully and that attitude clearly extended to the other players; some of those hits were straight up horrifying when he was around. Well at least I hope that's why they grabbed him.

I don't see a problem giving him limited snaps when the situation calls for it, or early on to help set the tone for the game... but Brandon Browner is definitely a liability. Going to be a whole hell of a lot of flags this year on offense and on defense

I'm ok with that. Browner fits very well into this defense obviously and Earl/Kam are going to be a hell of a lot more comfortable with Browner on that side verses whoever else that they don't know/trust. I actually hope Browner is capable of winning the starting spot, him and Sherman were a killer combo. Just boils down to health. At the very least, he adds much needed depth. I also think we're going to hear/see a ton more of the LOB chants from the secondary, as that was kinda lost last year. Now that the OGs are all there, that comradery will be back in full force and that swagger that was MIA last season will return.

Hell yeah

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking too

I'm looking at this as a positive for sure, and a smart move

I dont give a shit about him either way. Its one year. Regardless, opposite Sherman has been a position they cant seem to find a mainstay for. They need to figure that out.
Come on, you have to at least see some slight positive out of this and can't deny that competition at that CB position is great for the team right now; and if there's anybody who can set the tone for the hard hitting secondary style and elevate that position it's Browner, OG LOB member. I know deep down you care a little :chinese:

Plus he's a straight up bully and a menace, we've been missing a lot of that

He is a bully with shitty hips and if he doesnt jam his WR, he gets burnt.
