This album is a sequel to his classic album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, which many Hip Hop officials have called one of the best rap records ever made. With that said, how does Raekwon's new album stack up against his old one? If you love the griminess of the Shaolin/Wu-Tang 1990's sound that was all over the first album, then today is your lucky day. The beats and the rhymes are as gritty and as real as they ever were. One thing for sure is that Hip Hop has changed so much since then, but Rae hasn't missed a step. His wordplay is as sharp and crazy as it's always been. If you want a personal tour guide to take you on a trip to New York's underbelly, then Raekwon should be your driver. The stories he tells are dark and his imagery is frightening. If you like songs about bling and 24 inch rims, then this is not the album for you. If you like your rap raw and uncut, then this album is exactly what you're lookin’ for. With features from Rae's partner in crime Ghostface as well as Inspectah Deck, Method Man, GZA, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, and Papa Wu, this is as close to a classic Wu record as you're gonna get. Throw in appearances by Slick Rick, Lyfe Jennings, and Jadakiss, you got what many are calling the album of the year. If you loved OB4CL part 1, then I promise you you're gonna love OB4CL part 2. Bring on part 3.
