Glen Johnson? The guy with like 18 or 19 losses?
Really HERESY?! Damn, I expect bettet from you. Every boxing fan knows Glen Johnson is legit as fuck and a tough opponent for anyone. He was a fighter of the year and multiple title holder. Don't act like he's some bum, I'm not interested in conversating with people who do that kind of shit.

Further, you earlier brought up Boone as a quality win for Stevenson, who has 20 losses. Same Boone who KOd Stevenson in two rounds a year or so prior.

Hopkins? When was the last time Hopkins stopped someone? Adamak? Not a KO artist. Tarver? Come on man. Those guys aren't koing guys so even if his chin is pathetic they aren't going to knock him out. Now compare them to a guy who DOES knock people out, Stevenson, and there you have it.
Embarrassing.smh. Adamek had huge power at 175. Glen Johnson had power at 175. Pascal big power. Hopkins, no, but Dawson beat him clean. Point is, a pathetic chin wouldn't survive this resume.

.

Give me a break, there is no general consensus as to how to make a P4P list. Shit, the Klitcko brothers or however you spell there name, they get put on the list? For barely beating bums in a division that is D-E-A-D?

Before the ko Dawson was ranked and Cloud was ranked high enough to get the fight with Stevenson. And when I say ranked I'm talking about divisional rankings. I'm sorry man, but even when it comes to P4P, there ain't no general consensus. Look at how many different people we have in the lists already given. So yeah, based on recent performance I'd say Stevenson should be ranked higher than Pac.

ETA: and why the FUCK is hopkins calling out Floyd when he should be concerned about Stevenson?
Hopkins cant fight Stevenson due to HBO/Golden Boy. Hopkins offered to fight Stevenson, it was rejected by HBO and Stevenson vs Cloud happened instead.

Also Hopkins isn't really calling out Floyd. A reporter asked if he would fight him and Hopkins said of course and said he could still make 160. Nothing really serious.

Based on the siccness.net views with Mayweather vs Canelo being the highest viewed at 7,106 thus translating that over to 2.2 million in PPV buys I see Bradley vs Marquez doing 473,574 PPV buys factored from the 1,467 siccness.net views. Pacquiao vs Rios right now is estimated at around 629,495 PPV buys (25% increase with the Asian market and a 25% decrease with the American market) based off of 1,950 siccness.net views.

^^^ Only cuz a Mexican born in Mexico was involved in the fight will it have did ok. Bradley really has no draw unfortunate for him. He didnt help his cause either not going for the kill against Marquez, not saying it wasnt smart but ur not Mayweather u have to still prove yourself

At the end of the day p4p is subjective so it's no big deal to have Stevenson over Pac. But I won't stand for Rios, Chavez, Mike and Khan over Pac. Thats just plain idiotic.
Lol!!! Look Chavez was thrown in for good humor...Khan is admittedly under Pac... with Pacquiao may or may not be heading down the same road...but Mike Alvarado is the serious subject. I'll pose some questions to you and see how you answer:

Is Rios...

1- "Is Rois a serious threat to Pacquiao?"

2- "Is Rois a mediocre fighter that should get KO'd by Pacquiao?"

3- "Is Rois a tough honest test for Pacquiao?"

4- "Why didn't Pacquiao challenge Alvarado for a belt if Mike is mediocre?"

1. No (unless his chin is completely broken).

2. Yes.

3. No. It's a comeback fight intended for Pac to look good and get his swag back.

4. Name value, PPV buys and style matchup. Mike is really a no name right now, Rios has some fans. Bob Arum was keen on a Pacquiao vs Rios fight win or lose for Rios and Thats what he did.

Mike is a mediocre fighter. He was losing to Prescott when he got that late stoppage, was stopped by Rios. Rematch he decided to box and got the decision. IMO, out boxing Rios is nothing special.

I just realized Pacquiao is at 147 lbs so he couldn't get a title unless he dropped down to fight Alvarado for his lower belt and that wont happen. Alvarado will handle his next opponent the Russian...the same way Garcia handled the "Machine"....and you describe Garcia with a modest all around skill set "NOTHING SPECIAL"....and now you have him ranked in the top 6 P4P after we last talked...now I'm toting Mike Alvarado out for consideration. So don't blink when he KO's the Russian Ruslan Provodnikov and wins in better fashion than Timothy Bradley did against RS.

Man, you realize Ruslan was nothing more than a Friday Night fighter? If Mike Alvarado cant outbox him he should retire. Ruslan had a good fight against Bradley because Bradley fought like an idiot - trying to slug with a slugger.

Garcia proved me wrong with Matthysse and Matthysse proved he's completely one dimensional. I also dislike Garcia so I was biased, but I admit that thus the p4p ranking. I have no feelings one way or another with Mike. He's a good dude but he's not even close to Pacquiao's level.

Now if Pacquiao were to be KOd by Rios then its a moot point.

Honestly if I was a professional boxer I would learn Spanish...it would be a great business move and it would give me a tremendous option either to:

1- Endear myself to the Mexican people who love boxing that I am a hard working everyday guy.

2- Antagonize them in their own language and make them hate me on a level Mayweather could only dream of.

3- Communicate to the Spanish women how much I love their style..."Hola mi reina".

4- Appear in Spanish commercials with Spanish celebrities.

5- Fight a Mexican super star boxer and sell 3.8 million PPV and gross $342,000,000 ($90 HD subscriptions).

6- If I was a Mexican boxer I would learn English...and do numbers 1-5.

People have to understand something when it comes down to Mexican boxing fans vs Mexican American boxing fans. Mexican fans really don't give a fuck about race, they just want to see a good slug out. Mexican American fans root for Mexican born fighters cuz they feel obligated to. You see, when it comes down to US ppv buys, you can't rely on Mexican fans cuz the truth is we get the fights for free (Canelo vs Floyd was shown for free live in Mexico plus if you don't have cable with a old school antenna you saw it). The buys come from real combat sports fans and promotion. Garcia vs Mathysse stole the show and I believe 800k sales came from people more interested in that fight than the main event, that's why I ordered it. For the most part Mexican channels only show the main event so I wasn't sure if they were going to show it or not. Trust me, Mexicans gamble a lot and about 80% put their money on Floyd, while 50% of Mexican Americans put their money on Canelo. I put my money on Canelo cuz I hate Floyd but that's just me being a hater which makes boxing fun for me. But yeah being a Mexican fighter really don't mean shit nowadays unless you fight DLH or Floyd on Mex holidays.

Pretty good insight...I remember when Oscar Dela Hoya was on top and ALL the Mexican American and Mexican born cats hated him cause ALL the bitches loved Dela Hoya...it was some fine ass bitches coming in to see the fights talkin' bout Oscar is my husband...I did security at a Spanish bar for 3 years while I was boxing...it was all about Julio Chavez and Marco Antonio Barrera...Parnell Whitaker was hated like Floyd is now...it's a totally different atmosphere when you watching the fights in a Spanish venue than a Black/ White/ Mexican American mixed venue...the Spanish venue is a lot more electric and emotional about boxing...the mixed venues are more casual and reserved tryin ta be hella cool...at the Spanish bar I remember when Oscar swiz cheesed Chavez MAN it was so many bottles being smashed on the floor that shit was hilarious...mutha fuckas lost BIG. So if the Spanish people from Mexico don't BUY the PPV...then how is Saul Canelo Alvarez gonna be a PPV star? He would have to rely on the Mexican American fans to buy his fights...but the core of his fan base seems to be from Mexico. I'm excited to see Canelo fight again...I hope it's against Miguel Cotto.

Fool, I cried throughout the Chavez Whitaker fight! But DLH was different. He really didn't market himself to the Mexican audience until later in his career. Mexicans didn't like DLH until he beat Vargas in the fashion that he did. What canelo does for his fans is why Mexicans love him. He was calling out a lot of fighters but GBP was protecting him. He doesn't care about being undefeated, he just wants to fight the best. It was Canelo that told Televisa to show it live I believe but he is a legit muthafucka that wants to give the fans what they want no matter what.

We've been in each others hair for over ten years now, bro. Don't act like you don't know what it is. As for Johnson, he wasn't a KO artist and fought Chad like twice if I'm not mistaken, so of course he ain't gonna knock him out.

Further, you earlier brought up Boone as a quality win for Stevenson, who has 20 losses. Same Boone who KOd Stevenson in two rounds a year or so prior.
And that's EXACTLY why I listed him. Boone put WARD on the ground. And I'm not talking some shit where it was a glancing blow or where Wards hand touched the canvas and it is a knock down. He put him down. So yeah, Stevenson got hands laid on him by the only guy who has put Ward down but what happened in the rematch two or three years later? Stevenson knocked him out in the 6th round.

Embarrassing.smh. Adamek had huge power at 175. Glen Johnson had power at 175. Pascal big power. Hopkins, no, but Dawson beat him clean. Point is, a pathetic chin wouldn't survive this resume.
Again, those people don't have the KO power. Stevenson DOES have the KO power. Just look at their last ten or so fights and let me know what their percentage is.

Hopkins cant fight Stevenson due to HBO/Golden Boy. Hopkins offered to fight Stevenson, it was rejected by HBO and Stevenson vs Cloud happened instead.
Money talks. If they REALLY want to make the fight happen it can happen.

Also Hopkins isn't really calling out Floyd. A reporter asked if he would fight him and Hopkins said of course and said he could still make 160. Nothing really serious.
Nah, he was calling him out. He said he would do it in a heartbeat and implied Floyd is motivated by money. He talked about 160 to 175, said who he would hire, etc.

Go line the pockets and fight Stevenson, if not, shut the fuck about fighting Floyd.

He cannot fight Stevenson, period. HBO rejected it flat out. They have not worked with a single Golden Boy fighter since the fued. It's not about money it's politics.

Glen Johnson was a beast man he hurt everyone. Anyways, check the boxing master thread. I've yet to see anyone have Stevenson in the top ten (and all have Pac top ten).

Politics = money. Just ask those involved in the govt shutdown.

As far as P4P some of those same guys have the clitscko brothers ranked. D-E-A-D. A dead fuckin division yet some of those guys are listing LH fighters. So do you list a KO artist and champ from a thriving division or a champ in a dead division that fights guys from bum of the month 2.0?????

I don't like Klitschko either but its hard to ignore a decade of being undefeated, 20 win streak and a 61-3 record with 51 KO's. I'd have Klitschko ranked higher than Stevenson too.

A decade of being undefeated in a dead division. KOing bums in a dead division. Hell no I wouldn't have the kings of bum of the month 2.0 on a top ten list. Its a diagrace to boxing.

He still has a better resume than Stevenson and beat better fighters. Last few fights of Wlad:

Alexander Povetkin
Mariusz Wach
David Haye
Samuel Peter
Tony Thompson
Eddie Chambers
Ruslan Chagaev

I'm not a fan of Wlad but it's clear he's beat the better opponents
