Major Announcement from Honorcon: New Japan Pro Wrestling to Invade Ring of Honor This May

prince devittToday at the Ring of Honor "Honorcon" event in Philadelphia, a huge two-day event with New Japan Pro Wrestling – the biggest wrestling company outside of the United States – will take place this May.
The "Ring of Honor vs. New Japan" confrontation is scheduled to take place on May 10th at the company's annual Border Wars event, and again on May 17th in the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, NY. The announcement was made on Saturday by Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff and former ROH star, trainer, and booker Delirious. New Japan's Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi was also on hand, with his translator Tiger Hatori, who helped break the news.
Ring of Honor also announced that they were in talks with toy and trading card companies for future products. Visit ROHWrestling.com for more information.

NJPW has been doing the Ustream thing for a while now. Japanese wrestling companies never really gave a fuck about the foreign market. Around late 2011 early 2012 NJPW and other jap wrestling companies realized that there was a lot illegal US streams happening. Now they have even has gone as far to make it a lot easier for people in the US to get NJPW merch. Before you had to give your credit card to some other person in Japan and they had to order it for you and then once they get the item they then send it to you.
