Indy would make the Bears look mediocre.
Both at home and on the road...

I WISH this game was lined up. It would be a steal on the books...
Just like how the Cards were +10.5 at home against the Bears. The Raiders +9 at home against the Steelers. Sakara -200 against Lister. Bonnar -200 against Evans. These are all hypes to pull public money in. Man, there were a ton of them this year. I could imagine the Bears opening up as a -5.5 or something ridiculous. Straight pay day!!!

Probably cuz Indy has had to squeek out their last 3 wins I believe. Jets, Titans, and Broncos. Two of those teams are fuckin worthless so thats probably how that was figured out. The Bears only had the scare against AZ.

It's not like the Bears didn't scrape by anyone either.

They beat the Vikings 19-16
They beat the Cards 24-23

Both games they should have lost.

I'm not saying they aren't a good team, just saying that they aren't as dominant as everyone makes them out to be. They have a padded record. I don't like to mix sports, but just like boxing. A guy can be 19-0 with 18KO's but if all he fought were tune-ups and stepping stones the guy still isn't anything except for marketable to the public and media hype.

Until the Bears "crush" someone like the Giants or the Broncos (Both 5-2, Indy beat them both), the team is still fluff in my eyes. Bears play Miami next week. Whether they win by 3, or 40, it's still a game of no significant meaning in regards of power rankings. The Bears could win by 80 against a lousy team like Miami, but it still wont mean as much as the Colts or the Pats beating each other by 1.

MN was only in that position because Grossman giftrapped the lead to MN with the TD interception (MN offense didn't score one TD).

To the original question, probably because Indy's defense sucks ass. Bears are a much more balanced team.

With that being said, power rankings don't mean shit.
