It's tight. Definitely one of the best of the year although it's not as good as I expected it to be. There are only a few tracks on it that I don't like. The track produced by Dr. Dre is average for a
Dre track. Doobie Ashtray is by far the best track on the album. Who would've thought that DJ Premier could've produced a track like that. I also really like Tough Love and the track featuring Raphael Saadiq. I really like the fact that every song ain't about
gettin' pussy although Devin's at his best when he's rappin' about
sex. I like the serious joints too like Just Tryin' to Live, Tough Love, and Just Tryin' to Live. Devin's one of the best mc's in the
biz and he need's to leave Rap-a-Lot and get down with a label
that's gonna really promote him. Rap-a-Lot's a sinking ship. XXL
