Haye looked awesome against Ruiz. I think this was a good style match up for Haye but how he did it was ridiculous.

.. I also wish the SA cards would get put out quicker .. I'd love to be able to watch Agbeko Vs. Maligna without already knowing who won. I'm still waiting to Garcia Vs. Joyi and I already know who won that =\

Looks like the rumors are true Rigondeaux will be trained by Roger Mayweather. (there were youtube video's of Rig working the pads with Roger added just a couple days ago)

Rigondeaux withdraws from bout And splits with Freddie Roach

Junior featherweight Guillermo Rigondeaux, a two-time Cuban Olympic gold medalist who defected last year and is one of boxing's top prospects, injured his back and withdrew Wednesday from his fight on Saturday night.

Rigondeaux (5-0, 4 KOs) was scheduled to face experienced Reynaldo Lopez (30-7-3, 21 KOs) of Colombia at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., on the undercard of the Andre Berto-Carlos Quintana welterweight title bout. HBO, which is televising, was slated to air highlights of Rigondeaux's bout, which is unusual for a fighter with so little pro experience.

However, Rigondeaux, citing a sore back after some rough sparring with a welterweight, pulled out, show promoter Lou DiBella told ESPN.com.

"He said he hurt his back. What can I tell you? He pulled out," DiBella said.

However, Rigondeaux (5-0, 4 KOs) is also changing trainers, which may be part of the reason for his withdrawal, although his promoter, Luis DeCubas, said the injury was legitimate.

There was a lot of hype surrounding Rigondeaux's pairing with trainer Freddie Roach last summer. After working out with Rigondeaux for the first time, Roach compared the feeling he got working with him to the way he felt when he first worked out with Manny Pacquiao, who went on to become the pound-for-pound king. But now Rigondeaux and Roach have split, DeCubas told ESPN.com.

"His feeling is he's a two-time gold medal winner and he went all the way out there and felt there were too many fighters in the gym," DeCubas said of Roach's Wild Card gym in Hollywood, Calif. "Nobody was picking him up in the morning to run and he felt he should have been sparring with lighter guys, not 150-pounders. He wasn't getting enough attention from Freddie. He's very disappointed."

Roach, however, was unhappy with Rigondeaux's conditioning and didn't want him to fight Saturday, according to a source close to the trainer.

DeCubas said Rigondeaux is back in Miami, where he is based, looking for a trainer.

Looks like Rigondeaux wanted star treatment, despite being a prospect. A decorated amateur, maybe the greatest amateur ever, but still, unproven professionally.

I don't know. You don't sign to train with Freddie Roach and not know that the guy is easily the most sought after trainer in the sport, and isn't going to be able to devote the same time another trainer would.

Kind of sad. I'm sure Guillermo will be fine, but there's no doubt that Roach would have helped him enormously.

I think it's a good move. Freddie trains a shitload of people and if Rigondeaux doesn't feel he's getting the most attention he has that right to move on.

Besides, Freddie is wrong for Rigo imo. There was an article I posted a couple months back about Roach talking about how he wants Rigo to fight more aggressive and to attack like pacquiao so he can be a star. That's not what he does, he's a slick counter puncher, very cautious, smart and calculating. He should fight how he fights, he's 29 years old, fought over 400 amateur fights, he shouldn't be turned into something he's not.

Someone like Roger Mayweather, if that is indeed who he ends up with, would be more fitting.

Good points. Freddie is definitely a more offensive minded coach.

Sucks that he's off Saturday's card though. I just hope they can move him along quickly, he's already at his physical peak and still in the early stages of his pro career. Throw him in the mix with Caballero, Gamboa, and Juan Ma...it could be like the mini version of the 4 Horsemen of the 80's.

yeah I don't know what weight division he's planning on staying at. He's mostly fought at 122 but I heard he may get a title shot at 118 next. Personally I like it at 122, he could clean out the division easily, then move up to big names at 126

At Magdeburg, Germany: Robert Stieglitz vs. Eduard Gutknecht, 12 rounds, for Stieglitz's WBO super middleweight title
= dope fight. Stieglitz might not be the cream of the crop at 168 but the dude is usually involved in really good fights. Grab this fight if you have the chance .. and if you still haven't seen his title winning fight against Balzsay you're missing out.

Adamek is 40-1. His only loss was to Chad Dawson in 2007 back when Adamek was a Light Heayweight.

Immediately after that loss he went to Cruiserweight and beat everyone and became champion there, he was very good.

He recently moved up to heavyweight last year, he looked awesome in beating Andrew Golota by TKO in 5 rounds, and less impressive in a points victory over Jason Estrada.

So the jury is still out. The sport books I've seen have this fight dead even. I'm not betting on this fight but I think Arreola should win.
