I Understand Khan's reasoning.
Mayweather did it (beat Canelo at a size disadvantage) so Khan wants to prove he can do the same thing. It does put him up there if he gets the W.

I think Canelo gets him out of there by Rd 6 or 7.
Yeah definitely. I don't think anyone's knocking Khan on this. It's a no brainer he should take the fight, it just should've never been offered to him. Khan is in a great spot here. If he loses, no big deal since he's way out of his weight class and made a lot of money. If he wins, incredible.

This author and I have have totally different definitions of stacked. Not that I'm complaining or anything just sayin.
it's a solid card not stack but I can't wait and see what golden will do with this canelo vs khan undercard will it be more haymon fighters on the undercard because who else would oscar put on the ppv jojo maybe?

GBP has more than enough fighters to make a PPV. Francisco Vargas is likely to be on there after his last FOTY performance on the undercard. And if they want to make it great they make the fight with Salido.

Besides that they have Linares who owns a title, Randy Caballero who should be ready to go by then, Shabranskyy who's coming off a huge win on an HBO channel + a bunch of young fighters in JoJo, Avila, De La Hoya etc. No way possible this card turns into a Haymon fighter showcase.

The same way I felt about Floyd fighting JMM is the way I feel about this fight. You agree right?
Nope! Floyd was comin off a almost 2 year retirement and fought a guy one division down who basically fights at welterweight anyway. The weight difference between Canelo and Khan isnt even close to the weight difference between May & JMM. You reachin hard bruh. Got Em!!

It wasn't as bad since Floyd was coming off a two year retirement and Marquez was a pound for pound fighter, Khan on the other hand isn't anywhere near a pound for pound list, plus he's known for being chinny got KOd by Garcia in four rounds and always gets rocked by guys even Julio Diaz almost knocked him out, Marquez never was KOd.

If Khan was the best welterweight on the planet it would be ok but he's not, he's not even the third best welterweight probably not even the 5th best welterweight (Pacquiao, Bradley, Garcia obviously better, Thurman would KO Khan imo, Brook would probably KO Khan as well, maybe Khan could beat Porter though).

I don't know if one is worse than the other, but I do know that Floyd put on an amazing performance against Marquez, weight advantage or not it was a highlight reel from start to finish. Marquez and Nacho also made it clear that they were in with a superior fighter and had no desire for a rematch...ever.

Floyd wasn't willing to give up those 2 lbs to make the contracted weight because he knew he needed the size advantage and it was obviously clear. Mayweather would never risk his health at an extreme level and I can understand and agree with that. Non of us here have trained, conditioned, or drained ourselves to make weight for a fight. Meanwhile, JMM couldn't even gain the contracted weight to move up! Size and strength means everything in this sport. I'm against the Canelo Khan fight for the same reason I was Floyd vs JMM. There really is no difference to a fatboy like you who can only gain weight, but whatevers

You are the laughing stock of this thread and continue to get clowned on boxing opinions and facts on a daily so I dont need to further clown your bitch ass! Try to either follow the sport better or maybe go follow cricket or water polo cause you suck at this boxing game. Thats just real talk mark! Got Em!!

So battle is actually right when it comes down to Mayweather/JMM. Not about the Mayweather and his health part, I think more Mayweather didn't really give a fuck about cutting the weight and losing the $600,000 from the contract by missing the weight. Mayweather isn't a big dude and if he really wanted to make weight he could've.

But that fight was a travesty. JMM was always a bad style matchup for Floyd. At that point in his career he had only fought 2 fights @ 135lbs and that's the highest he had ever gone. Floyd had already campaigned at welter a few times and already beat DLH & Hatton at the weight. JMM's only 2 opponents above 130lbs were Casamayor and Juan Diaz.

Floyd may have been coming out of retirement but he was still Floyd and JMM hadn't even fought close to welterweight, in fact he immediately went back to 135 after Floyd, not even 140. He didn't move up to welter again for 3 years after the Floyd fight when he fought Pac again.

I guess, but it just didnt seem like a weight mismatch in my book. Floyd was bigger but the fact that Marquez was one of the best fighters during that time, some thought he still posed a threat. YOu just cant compare that fight to tghis mockery Canelo/Khan fight in my opinion. Its just silly. Got Em!!

It was a shit fight to be sure. This is even more a shit fight.
Don't disagree there. This is a horrendous fight. At the time I remember really disliking the JMM fight. JMM's best wins were under 130lbs and the tough fights with Pac, and now he was fighting the best fighter in the sport @ welter.

Like you said this fight is shittier, but that fight was complete shit.
