If gloves didn't matter, why would Floyd pay Maidana $1.5 million to wear a different style? Why do fighters often demand only certain gloves are worn in contracts?
You sound very ignorant right now. Not all gloves are the same. Many brands have multiple models of gloves. Some for punchers, some to protect the hand, some for speed etc. Some are all foam, while punchers gloves are a combination of horse hair and foam.
In many instances, the type of glove makes little difference. In others, it could be a huge advantage or disadvantage.

I can't really go into great detail because there are so many factors involved.
What if you have bad knuckles? You will want better padding (but you can't increase oz). What if you have naturally skinnier wrists? Then you will want much more wrist support, but will have to deal with your wrists being locked in place (effects defense a bit). How do the insides feel? Some clothes inside start to slip a bit due to sweat, but some people like that silk feel laced inside regardless of the slippage.
They are also contemplating on making a rule of how old your gloves can be since your padding compresses over time by working the bag.

Then try on a nice pair of Title's with $15 wraps. You will see a huge difference. You would do it in the gym, so to not make a deal about it in the fight of your life is crazy.
