Who would win? This would the "Mayweather-Pacquiao" of mma no doubt the fans want it has to happen here's dana white speaking on making the fight...



UFC President, Dana White speaks about the potential super fight that is UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva vs. UFC welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre, saying if you want it he’s going to have it!

Speaking via SportsRadioInterviews.com, Dana said:

“People ask me that all the time. This is what I believe. I believe my job is to put on fights that people want to see. I keep hearing that and enough people want to see it. I guess I’m gonna have to do it.”

“The fight doesn’t really make all that much sense to me. Because Georges St. Pierre is a true 170 pounder. Anderson Silva at 185 has moved up to 205 and done very well at that weight. I see him moving up, not moving down. … I do like Anderson Silva at 205 pounds. That’s a natural weight for him.”

“The only way to answer that is to have them fight.”

GSP. People think Anderson will knock GSP out but GSP's shot is fucking insanely fast. Anderson Silva won't be able to stop it and he won't sub GSP. Their jiu jitsu will cancel out because I think they are on a pretty close level. GSP will take him down every opportunity he gets and keep him there the entire fight. Unfortunately for us, this fight wouldn't live up to the hype because GSP would just dominate him by laying in his guard.

Fuck when I saw the thread title I thought this had been announced.


Anyway - Silva all day, he is just naturally too big for GSP. Like the article says, I would much rather see Silva fighting 205.

Silva has been known to be taken down.. its just his last few opponents were scared to get close. Dan Henderson, and Travis Lutter were not scared of his strikes.

Silva is like Usain Bolt. even though Silva has lost a few, sometimes i feel like we havent seen the best of him yet. and for Silva to go into a fight fully loaded is freakin dangerous.

if they stand and trade silva would murder gsp but we know that's not going to happen gsp would want to wrestle him to the ground every chance he gets... probably wouldn't live up to the hype like rampage/rashad but those ppv buys would be crazy

Don't think dis fight will happen nemore, when was that quote taken from dana, cuz after the silva n maia fight dana said this fight would not happen jus bc of the laccluster performance of silva and gsp wit hardy was not all that exciting anyways. Like 2 c belfort finally healthy and fight silva as well as him jumpin bacc up at 205 he looks real solid at lhw

it would be silva and wouldnt even last long. people forget that silva is probably at his best on the ground and is easily better than GSP standing up. it would be a quick fight and only way GSP is winning is if he gets real lucky.
