This episode actually laid a lot down. Prime suspect established Reggie Ledoux, the Reverend Billy Lee Tuttle (who is cousins with the Governor ) seems to have his fingers in this, so expect some kind of political cover up in the future. Woody Harrelson's character is just as much of a mess as Matthew Mcconaughey's; even though they obviously have different philosophical outlooks, they are both living a lie, wearing masks so to speak, as the preacher preached in the episode "You are a stranger to yourself. The world is a veil. The face you wear is not your own.”

^^^only been 4 episodes homie. not to be a dick about it, but this is like the only show (besides Workaholics) that I'm watching religiously right now.

No one mentioned the Wu-Tang song they played during the last scene.

Also, I think Hart (Woody) was trying to "be a man" in letting Cohle "go undercover", because no straight cop would let someone shoot up dope for a week to go undercover. Hart was vulnerable, because of losing his wife, and wanted to prove a point. Cohle was smart as fuck in taking advantage of that, and he timed it perfectly by prodding him along with the "take your job seriously" shtick every 10 minutes. this last episode was SO Fucking dope, and that last scene was awesome as fuck.
