Sergio Martinez tells BoxingSocialist.com that can't see Cotto going to distance

Karceno: I know it must sting that he was being so picky during negotiations being that you are the champion and is ranked higher on everyone P4P list?
Martinez: "It doesn't surprise me, Cotto has never wanted to face me before, he's only facing me now because he believes my knee is damage too much. I don't care whatever he wants, I want the glory, I want to beat him, that's my reward."
Karceno: How is you're knee holding up coming back to full scale training?
Martinez: "I had nine months of no training at all, so I had to use soft workouts to build my conditioning up for the hard stuff, and I feel great, my body is responding better than ever."
Karceno: What do you see Cotto bringing to the table that you have to be focused on?
Martinez: "Miguel Cotto is renowned like Floyd Mayweather and he was champion for a very long time, like I'm champion now. I know we will give them a great show, and this fight will go down in boxing history."
Karceno: How do you see Mayweather vs Maidana playing out?
Martinez: "Well it's a very tough fight for Mayweather who is great beyond his years, but I'm surprised he took such a tough matchup because Maidana is a machine, he won't stop coming and I think he can get the win for Argentina."
Karceno: Style vs Style how do you think the fight makes it to the scorecards?
Martinez: " I will take the win anyway it comes, but I will be going for a knockout and I know Cotto wants to do the same, so I cannot see this fight going to the judges cards, so yes, I will knock him out. surely. Me and gabriel have a great gameplan and we know Miguel will keep the pressure on so we will be prepared for that."
Karceno: When you win, will you face Canelo, Chavez Jr. or maybe even Floyd Mayweather?
Martinez: "Canelo is a great young fighter and yes he lost to Mayweather but I think ten years from now he will still be world champion. It's too bad he fights for another network and we can't make the fight happen, but he is not in the same boat as Chavez jr. I don't know what will become of him, it's a shame because he has had everything laid out before him, to be great. I still don't know why they put him in two back-to back matchups with Brian Vera so soon. And Mayweather you know I have wanted that fight for years also, but I know I would have to come down in weight and him up some, but I think the fans would love a contest like that. it would be very big for boxing."
