I see people come in here and post audio tracks or text lyrics, and get little to no responses. Every wonder why?

When I come in here, I normally get a decent response to whatever I post.

The reason is this.. I have been around these forums for years. People know me, they know I've contributed to the forums and they know I'm not just trying to promote my music. I do the music shit for fun so I don't have any reason to try to forcefully advertise my product on you.

It's obvious this forum is not very active right now. But I know for a fact that some of the verterans of this board come in & out every day and peep what's being posted. If they don't know who you are, they probably will not give you the time of day because most people just think you're trying to promote yourself.

The solution: Post up some feedback and remain a consistent contributor to the boards. People will begin to get to know you and you will get more feedback, guaranteed. It will also get the forum going again and in turn you will definately get more feed.

Just a bit of advice and an explanation as to why some people get no responses to their threads.

I FEEL WHAT YOU ARE SAYING HOMIE. I KNOW I SHY AWAY FROM GIVING FEEDBACK TO NEWBIES WHO SEEM LIKE THEY'RE JUST TRYING TO PROMOTE THEIR MUSIC INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR ACTUAL FEEDBACK.

WHEN YOU ESTABLISH YOURSELF AS A REGULAR, PEOPLE TEND TO VIEW/LISTEN TO YOUR MATERIAL AND GIVE YOU THEIR OPINIONS MORE THAN THEY WOULD IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW YOU OR ANYTHING ABOUT YOU. IT'S LIKE THAT ON ANY FORUM.

I've typed in bold red in every single post I've ever made on this site. Back in the day, before all these kids who now know color codes and other commands because of sites like myspace.com, not many people knew how to change your text color so everyone's post looked the same. I happened to know vB code because I studied HTML and vB code is not much different, so I started typing in bold red font to be different from everyone else (there were no buttons on forums that allow you to click and choose text alterations like there are now). It just stuck.

And I have a keyboard that stores certain text, kinda like when you highlight and copy text.. I press the button and it pastes my color code into the box.

All i know how to do is bold, italicisize(SP?), and underline shit.. But this is cuz i've been on several other forums and know some vB haha.. But yeah mayne.. This part of siccness is extremley inactive now.. I remember when i first started postin here like 3-4 years back and people complained it being inactive and it was like 10x more traffic then this.. I wonder how it was when it wasnt inactive haha.. Anyways this forums like my home when im on the siccness..

I think everyone still looks at this board, but since theres never any open battles goin' down no ones got shit to contribute..
