Fuck I was 8 years old back then. I listenned to anything that was good back in the 80's but it wasn't until NWA came out that I really got into rap.
Once Niggaz4Life dropped, then it was all gangsta rap for me. Nothing else, not even another music genre, I was strictly hardcore till this day....

AHH shit, that was like one of my 1st records.... I still remember neigbhors dad came over to visit him and he was out front washing his caddy with some shit playin, I rode my bike up to him and asked what that was he was playin. It was a mix of a hole bunch of shit, Ice-T,Fat Boys, Kurtis, Sugarhill...that cat that made the pee wee herman song..He sold me that shit for $5 and I played that Danon (sp) tape till it broke. I remember beggin moms for the $ which she later regreted giving it to me..lol bout to pull my Old Skool CD out now...

1st cd is 2 Pac (R.I.P) greatest hits. The 1st underground cd was woodie northern expozure vol.1 my bro was pickin me up & he was playin shits gone strange & i wanted that song so went through his cds & heard gats & rivals & ever since i've only been listening 2 underground rap except 4 pac that is the only main stream artist ill listen 2
well, the thing with me, i went back and bumped all the old school shit. I'm kinda young, but i still have major love for the old school cause i'm kinda like a hip hop/rap historian. I listened thoroughly on all areas whether i liked it or not. I still think DMC goes off, he was way better than RUN to me.
I didn't get the straight outta compton cd until like 1995, i had heard it but didn't really really listen to it, still gets bump in my ride......and yes it's better than the chronic to me
2 live crew was big to me just becasue they had so many catchy songs and shit. I loved hearin about women at that young age, prolly influenced too much in the way i am now between that and short lol.
