Been waiting on them to drop something for a minute, but LOCK is beasting on E-A-Ski myspace page in a video and that dude LEFT is working on his PhD at UC Berkeley. I checked they Myspace pages after I peeped Locksmith on that Grindtime and they hit me back talkin about they in the studio working on gang of projects for 09. Been a fan of them cats for a while and what them dudes do in and out of that booth is deserving of Serious respect.

I was going to make a similar thread, but I guess I'll just talk about it in here.
Why isn't Locksmith mentioned more around here? IMHO he is the best rapper in Northern Cali. He is the better writer and his music isn't boring... am I missing something?

I dunno, overall they tend to just make a dope album then not focus too much on little things to get their name out there. Guess there's no "gossip" with the frontline (outside of what happened recently)

while were at it, E-A-SKI isnt really as bad at rapping as people tend to make him out to be

Was it just me or was that whole verse completely disrespecting the Bay? Now, I can understand trying to separate yourself from some of the ignorant ass lames out here who think making music is about stealing hooks and goin dummy doo doo retarded but he's goin too far wit it. In the last few freestyles of his, I heard nothin but "fuck the bay." Dont turn your back on the only region supportin you. You will never hear an LA cat say fuck LA. And you for damn sure will never hear an NY cat say fuck NY. Seems like frustration to me. Lock is dope so no reason to point out the fact that he is different, let the music speak for itself. Now at the end, he makes a reference to Dre. Dre of the Bay is a generous compliment not a diss. Very Generous. Doesnt mean Im not a Ski fan but come on now......Your Apply Pressure album has been coming soon for 5 years...Is there a comparison? And Lock, that was a diss to 4Tay good buddie..Why not say how you feel about EA Ski's rappin skill..Cuz we both know that his 3rd grade lyrics must give you a silent chuckle when you hear them. But dope spit regardless. Lock is Fresh!

they ust let their music speak for them. not really into all the wwe aspect of the game. they not gonna dress outlandish. good artists, solid material

You sound like Locksmith and Ski ran your dog over. Saying ''Fuck the Bay'' as a region of shitty rap and Hyphy gimmicks DOES NOT mean Fuck the fans or the people. If anything since the majority of the Bay who follows rap or hip hop hates the gimmicky Bay shit, he is speaking up for how the Bay REALLY feels. Put it like this a lot of people hate the War in Iraq, but support the troops. They love America, but hate the government. Shit as a fan of hip-hop and a life long Bay resident. I love Bay Area hip-hop, rap music, but hate what it has become. There are few fresh voices out here and The Frontline's definably one of them. On another note Ski is by far one of the dopest producers in the game and if you notice once he and Ric Rock stopped doing tracks for a bunch of Bay artist...the quality of music out here went in the toilet.

The quality of music out here went into the toilet because of the lack of originality. Ski contributed to that with his last 2 singles. Im not sayin Frontline aint dope. Im sayin that turnin your back on fellow Bay Artists is not a good idea. Now, I think Ski's production is solid...but nothin that the 16 year old up the street aint makin..By the way, my dog has been missing. You know something that I dont?
