I can't stand a lot of the current love song rap my damn self, but if it's done right (artist being real to themselves and not following a formula set forth by management and/or record label) the shit is tight. Meth and Mary is a perfect example. To me 21 Questions didn't work. That's to me. Females like it though.

I kinda wish rap cats were given the artistic freedom an artist like Alicia Keys gets. Clive Davis allows Alecia Keys to be herself and she puts out Q U A L I T Y music. It's unfortunate hip hop is so trendy at this point because I know there are quality artists out there that if given the chance, could put out some QUALTIY music if they're allowed to be themselves.
