What up Sicness. We need your help. We're trying to figure out what song off of J. Davinci's Butter and Gunz should we push as a single. We spent the last month in NY, ATL and Houston. Each region liked a diffrent song.

We want to know what the Bay wants to hear on the radio. If you've heard the album leave a comment and let us know what song we should push.

If you haven't heard the album, you can listen to it at www.cdbaby.com/cd/jdavinci

Thanks for all the support. This is still the beginning.

personally i don't think that any of the songs offa butter & guns fit the formula that radio stations look for so you might have a tough time with this one. down probably has the most crossover appeal - it's more boom bap and you got a chick singing on it - but i don't think the content will translate well to a primarily middle class white/asian/female audience.

if you're looking for a radio hit than you have to pick a song that can appeal to the diverse population segments in the bay area that listen to top 40 radio rather than a select niche group of ppl which is who i feel most bay artists that complain about low sales target. good examples of success in crossover themes are 2pac, biggie, kanye west, etc, etc. everyone can relate to a dear momma, how do u want it, juicy, can u see, hypnotize, family business, golddigger, to live and die in la - WE NEED AN ANTHEM LIKE THAT IN THE BAY!

my 2 cents: hit the lab and cook up an anthem, something real swagga like but on a fun tip. when most ppl listen to the radio and party they want fun and easy music to listen to. if you not trying to go in that direction you could go with somehting along the lines of "kama sutra" that appeals to the freak in every woman, or juicy or dear momma, where they can relate to jd's struggle/pain.
