Yea "Unexpected" was a good album. Solid production, although some different producers would have been a plus. It's funny you mention his voice because to me that sets him apart from EVERYONE. No one really sounds even similar. That, good word play, and different subject matter make him a credible rapper on a larger scale.

Either way, L-Capone did well. He's got a solid live show too.

Stockton is THICK with talent.

I would love 2 support my folks up outta Mudville but I'm just not really hearing nothin outta there that blows me away. Black Rhino did before they broke up but they were'nt even originally from Stockton.

^speakin of original soundin rappers, did Mel get copies of his album out in the end?
Melly Mel? You talking about "Mellenium"?? Hell yea and it slaps too. 2 Da Face never lets down on their projects. Tight production, engineering, raps, everything here is on point. The big homie Dubb A did the graphics too. PM me if you need a copy.

You got "the Mad Scientist"?

I'ma just plug my own stuff right here....

check out www.myspace.com/nonstopheat or www.nonstopheat.com

Either way, I'm plug some other folks. SamRaw just dropped a good album last month. Lil Mondo dropped one of the most well rounded albums to ever come out of stockton. Of course Tizzle, Mental Illness, Peebodie, Doja Clik all released projects in the past 2-3 years that I still keep in rotation. D-Bone aka Knowledge Bone comes consistent. Hallway did 2 beats on the gold selling Ice Cube album "Laugh Now Cry Later."

Can't forget to mention Playgyrl Slim who has dropped multiple projects recently that all go to work. She's on point with everything.

It's hard to actually see everthing going on in Stockton cause most folks promotion game aint really on point...but I plan on changing all of that once I return. You will be hearing ALOT more Stockton music real soon.

Its a few but a few is all there is. A lot of cats been comin up but most don't have there own sound IMHO. I'm feeling PG Slim & Dott Dogg. C-Lim can spit but he aint from Stockton like he claim. Hallway Productions did some shit on Cubes last album so there is definitly some talent out there. I came up in Stockton in the late 80's & early 90's when rapping was looked down on. Niggas back then rapped but u was always looked @ as a nigga that was wasting ur time. Honeslty that's how it was. Its a lot different now & a lot of cats are doing there thang but I'm not too impressed with the music overall. Just my opinion.

Got any info on Dott Dogg?? Thats a new name to me.
Dott Dogg iz from North Stockton. He's been locked up forever it seems. He used 2 be X-Raideds celly in I think Soledad. He's featured on Raideds Unforgiven Vol. 1 & Nefarious Speak Of The Devil. He's not a on Raideds level or nothing like that but he's cool. A lot of cats on the Siccness like him. It takes a lot 4 an artist 2 blow me away. Dott Dogg iz pretty tight I just think he should put a lil bit more character into his flow.
