... I get it short helped build bay rap but mess has been holding it down as one of the bays best for the last 10 years. both left the bay for a while. As a rapper short fell offa long time ago. His lyrics are are weak. Short has been suckin them south niggas d's since blow the whisle..,.. Now who cares who bangs and who doesn't. Short has never been a, pimp. But who cares.... Mess sober is still some of the best music the bay has to offer.... Sidenote I was happy to hear him say in hypocrite he s finally clean.... Don't get me wrong short makes good songs but his lyrics suck. ... Songs like ”bays biggest hypocrite” and ”thats how I move” lryically are better then anything short has made in the last 20 years ..imo

havent heard a good solo messy song since... shit since he was fuckin wit lil flip...last dope album he was on was probably explosive mode 3...blow was coo, but i liked the beats more than his raps...he comes off like hes whining in all of his new material...i really believe that he is a gimmick rapper tryna catch on to the mainstream... to me...imo... i always thought mess was the type of rapper trying to adapt to what the mainstream sound is... then if shit aint workin he goes and call em out on it...i.e. mistah fab/too short and the hyphy shit, or lil b and his pretty bitch shit... stick to who u are, keep it real...mess been tryna find his persona, but he jus dont got his own niche... i aint tryna hate on dude but everytime i hear him hes switched up his style to try and emulate a mainstream type of flow... $.02
