I saw my mother die when i was 13. Thats the only time i questioned my religion. 2 reasons, she did a lot of meditation, and she kinda saw her self in meditation as her power animal or whatever the fuck they call it. And she always saw herself as an eagle, or a hawk. The morning after she died there was a big ass hawk circiling over our house the next morning for a while and then it flew away. It was a trip, never seen a hawk in my life do that before at our place. Also i was pissed about god taking her so young. But fuck it also that is when i relized we are diing form the moment we are born and to live life as if every day was your last. I took this from the post i made on 40oz's death thread. So yeah, thats the closest ive come to anything.

On June 6th 1999, a phenomenal event occurred in my life, what many of you would call a religious experience.

I woke up in the morning feeling really down- shit in my life just wasn’t working out, my girlfriend broke up with me, I was unemployed with no money and I was hungry. Real bad times. Anyways, I was raiding my kitchen looking for something to eat and I realized I had one bagel left and a little bit of cream cheese. I didn’t think I had enough of the cheese to cover the entire bagel, but fuck it I was hungry and desperate, so I took the bagel in one hand and I spread the cheese over it with the other and to my surprise the cheese covered the entire bagel (WITH ONLY ONE SWIPE OF THE KNIFE!!). I thought to myself, “Wow, that was amazing.” I was so certain that there was no way in hell I could use so little cream cheese to cover such a big bagel.

Right before I was about to take a bite out of this tasty bagel, I saw what appeared to be a face in the cheese. I squinted my eyes as if I recognized this face and then it hit me- it was the face of JESUS staring right at me from the cream cheese! It was truly astonishing. I stood there for a moment staring at my Holy Bagel with disbelief and then the inevitable occurred- I ate him and boy did he taste good. That’s when I realized that Jesus IS good over a poppy-seed bagel. True story.

I suffer from sleep paralysis and I used to believe the attacks were spiritual experiences until it was diagnosed. But I've experienced some "haunted" things. As far as I know.

I always hear stories of people having spiritual and religious experiences, but it's never happened to me. Maybe it's because my minds not receptive to such visions because of my beliefs (or lack thereof), but I would love to know that there was something more out there. I can't believe in god or spirits or any other esoteric phenomena just because someone says they've seen it - I'm too analytical, and in order for me to believe it I have to see it myself. I'm not suggesting that everyone who have had such experiences are lying, high on drugs or just extrapolating from normal phenomena, but I just want to see it with my own two eyes.

once while sleeping.I awoke on the couch and I was breathing rappidly, I didn't remember why but I knew I was scared. I looked towards my kitchen and a body materialized out of nowhere.I was rattled, he spoke and said "dont worry, it was only a dream when your mother died".(I am an experienced lucid dreamer). I was in shock from hearing this, I gathered my composure and asked "am I dreaming now", he told me "yes". thats where it got even crazier. since I know about lucid techniques, I knew I could ask this character question about things I may not understand or remember in conscious reality.as I thought about asking questions about my future>wealth, or love life, or music career.it was like I couldn't vocalize the question because it was so petty. I could only think of egotistical things that would help me advance in society. I'm guessing he noticed because after a minuet of silence, he spoke"I'll show you all the great things about death when you die".whoa, it amazed me. a second later I woke up laying on the couch and tried to concieve what had just happened????still am???
