This is my order of Tech's singles and how they rank. I based them on a first time listening experience and the way it rubbed me when I first heard it and also if it was radio friendly...

1. Its Alive- Amazing response from Kansas City, overall great song. Came at the right time, faulty deal made it fall short.
2. Imma Tell- Crazy, around the world fav. Should've been the bread winner. Uncut took the seriousness out of this one...
3. Planet Rock- Big in KC, but fell short of its full potential.
3. Im a Playa- Debut came too late, and for the not so Tech fans to pick up on him to feel him, but always a fan favorite.
4. Mitch Bade- Along the lines of Planet Rock, (Tech remake maybe?) Would like to hear a sequel even.
5. Here comes Tecca Nina- Banger, came late, but short lived...
6. Slacker- Collab with Em would've blown this out the water!
7. Jelly Sickle???- Isnt coming on as strong as many would like. Didnt hit the fans that heard it like the usual Tech sledgehammer. Questioning 40's strength on this track and in the game to support as a single... Feels more like a feature than a collab to make this 'solid' like they didnt worked together to make the record 'harder'... More potential... Everyone I play it for loves it, but "somethings" missing...

This is just my opinion... Maybe a remastering of Jelly Sickle would help, make it bang a little more add a few more sounds to the beat to make it a little stronger... Its a Ric Roc beat for crying out loud!

When I play it for people, they feel it... So I believe it'll work! Feel free to give your input and maybe your feeling on the single(s)...

Done deal...

and you gotta always remember that whatever response jellysickle is gettin on here is sort of the opinion of a minority of long(ish) time tech fans. what ever works for a single around the world doesnt always necessarily mean it "works" for the old fans. just the way it goes. i hope it will do good. but maybe use the old tactic of slippin it to some club dj's and see the reaction of the crowd in different cities before makin the final decision to put money on it as a single. this way they'll see a response that more likely reflects radio/mtv audiences possible reaction than the reaction of people who already listen to tech and know the old songs.

MasZive I'm with you on basically all that. Ever since I heard "It's Alive" though all I ever wished for was them to do that video and just bang that shit reppin KC on some shit nobody' ever heard before. Especially after hearing Grant talk bout that shit on the DVD..with Busta, Cypress Hill, among others and swingin from trees and whatnot....Its too bad.

your looking for something tighter than millenium mitch I'm guessing
I thought about that, and when I worte this, I had Millenium Mitch in mind, but dont count that as a remake because 57 needed that to carry their CD so it featured all of them and also, because it sucked... But just Tech himself on a remake is what I meant... More on the lines of elaborating on this whole Mitch thing by himself...

in10city_131x... yeah, I was saying that because when I played it for people that doent neccesarily listen to Tech or has heard any of his music liked it, and thats why I say it'll work... I know it will, but where does 40 stand to the fans and the rap game to be on or even help carry a single??? I would've loved to hear Busta on this song, I know it'd be hot!!! I know exactly what your saying though...

NINE1TREY.. Shit would've been crazy! I already know...

It's Alive was the first song I ever heard from Tech N9ne. I was makin my friend a mix CD of songs he wanted, that was on the list so I downloaded it. I listened to it and I was like, "whaaaaaaaatt??!! This shit is hot as fuck!" After I listened to it a few more times, I wanted to see what other shit I could find from this new-to-me artist. I saw he had quite a bit, so I downloaded AngHELLic and Absolute Power and both of those were dope as fuck. Tech quickly became one of my top 3 favorite artists and he gets regular play in my car (where I listen to the majority of my music).

I can't really rank his other singles, cuz I don't think I've ever heard ONE single Tech N9ne song on the radio here in VA. On top of him gettin no love here, I think I've only seen a video of his once on BET and that was late at night.

VA needs to fuckin get with it and start reppin Tecca Nina.

You are absolutely right... I would rank it up top, but it was based on what worked for Tech. If anything, it was Planet Rock, Mitch put him on and Planet Rock let mofos know he was the real deal, but Im sorta basing it on impact and what worked the best for Tech...
But fucking Bakarii sux and I felt that hurt him a bit. Thats why I want Tech to remake it and make Mitch Bade live likes its supposed to... Bakarii fucked it up, and I wish never made the song cause it takes away from what Tech has to say. I like complete Tech songs, and in the case of Mitch, he should or should've done it alone...

FUCK YEAH, MY NIGGA KING KOOPA!!!
