Question: Who In The Bay Has True Star Potintial

I wanna know what artist from the Bay ( in your honest opinion) has the potintial to be a star not just in the Bay, but nationaly as well. Now do me a favor and don't just list ya homies who burnt some songs on a cdr and think they have a hit record...or your natural erge to say yo self knowin damn well you ain't got the heat yet...I am talkin legit artist reppin the Yay who have put in some kind of work and they have that "it" about them.

*The Frontline- Lyrics, buzz, beats, content, following
*San Quinn- presence, lyrics, radio love, content
*EA- SKI (as a producer) - Bangin ass tracks
*Federation- Ric Roc production, catchy hooks
*Balance- Nice rymes, mixtape buzz around the country

San Quinn-he's a very talented individual...he can rap about anything on any topic...he doesn't just rap about shoot'em up bang bang bullshit....he also is very humble and good to his fans...he has a very clean appearance...something that won't offend parents or older crowds (which is good for kids who listen to him)....he knows how to carry himself...he's not image conscious...he doesn't have to be all blinged blinged out on his records.

I'm not hating or anything like that, but out of all those artists you just listed, none of them have ALL the qualities to make them a "STAR", according to what you posted.

slang isn't gonna make you a full blown star, since it's hard to make that shit catch on with the public. Lyrics aren't gonna make you a star by today's standards, thats not even a minor portion of it. You have to have stage presence (and presence period)...gotta be charismatic, gotta be able to appeal to people everywhere, not just your own region. Mixtapes out here aren't going to make a difference cause they are never done right, they are in compilation form.

I'm not saying none of these artists have it, I'm saying you didn't list some things. One downfall of artists out here though, is they are closed minded. BAY THIS, BAY THAT...nobody outside of the bay wants to hear that, because it's not about where you're from anymore, it's "can you compete with the cats that are out there making their millions"?

Good point right there Sydal! There is too much emphasis on an artist's area already, we don't need anymore artists saying BAY THIS, BAY THAT.

It isn't the area that is important, but the content and how they express it is! Right now I can't see anyone about to bring the "bay" back!
