I apologize for venting but I got to get some shit off my chest........ So if this offends you in anyway............ THEN ITS PROBABLY YOU THAT I AM TALKIN ABOUT!!!!!!

Aiiiiight I got a question for anyone who is reading this. Well first I should set the story up for ya first.

Now say you were involved in the music business and just simply loved music more importantly you loved your local scene. In this case it just so happens to be northwest hip hop.

But it seems like everyone that you decide to work with is a shadey muthafucka.

example:

On a Friday night you promote a show in a pretty hot area where you know the club will be packed. Now this is a show that you are not making any money on.... its just for the love of the music and to help get some of your homies (well so called homies) exposure.

Now these so called homies of yours get to the venue early and get drink tickets and get drinks that end up around 85 bucks if they had to pay for them. Keep in mind you still are not getting paid for throwing this show. These so called friends of yours also look you dead in the face as you buy them a drink and think that every thing is cool.

Now this is where the fucked up part comes in. These so called friends of yours (the same people that you were cool with) Decide to leave the venue before they were supposed to perform but after they have had there drinks. Pretty fucked up huh? And this is after you have helped promote these cats to everyone that you knew both in and around the industry. hummmmmm

*********Maybe its just me I am too nice to people...... from now on I am like fuck the Northwest music scene shit up here is wack anyways.

I am selling everything in my studio its not worth my time engergy and patients. If you wanna buy some stuff just let me know I will get you the gear list.

From now on I am NO LONGER SUPPORTING LOCAL MUSIC PERIOD.

Sorry for ranting I am done now. Back to work

I guess I wouldn't have been so pissed if the club wouldn't have hit me with the bill for the night. But like always the world revolvs 360 degrees what comes around goes around. Karma is a muthafucka.

Also, never do it for just the love of music... that's how you get yourself fucked.

that's some fucked up shit to hear, but speak for your homies, bro.. I just wanted to say, good looks on that show a few months back, but at the same time, not everyone is out to mooch or play you.. I was hittin you up a few times to work on some music and/or offer my services.. you never hit me back, but I sure as hell wasn't thinking you were a snake cuz you didn't. For all I know, you could just be blowing me off or you could be busy.. you can have ya opinion, but I don't think you should give up on what you started.. there's muhfuckas out here that's honest about their shit.

Its always gotta be for the love of the music. If I were in it for anything else it would feel like a regular 9 to 5 but I am really starting to change my whole out look on fuckin with cats in the Northwest. There are a couple of people I will still work with though.

there is shady cats anywhere you go. you cant avoid it, it just is. my gripe about the northwest is that its filled with cheap mufukkas that dont want to invest money into anything and always expect handouts.

You did it 'just for the love of music' with people who obviously aren't doing it for the love of music. That was your first mistake. When you deal with people like that, you have to make it more than 'music love'... make them put money on the line. I found you get more out of people when they have money riding on it. I gotta say your situation sucks, but it looks like you set yourself up for it and to turn your back on the Northwest seems like a harsh punishment for your mistake. I hope the best comes out of this situation, good luck.

100% truth.. that's almost every muhfucka.. shit, at a time, I used to be ignorant about that too, but it's the only way to make moves out here. u gotta spend money to make money.

So you blame the music scene here for the situation you were in? Take responsibility. You put yourself out there, which takes a lot, and is respectful, but that type of shit is bound to happen when you do that, and those people you booked, will get whats coming for them, no doubt about it.

Don't drop music because of a couple of fucking lame ass herbs, pick up your guts and keep moving, put what's in the past in the past.
