fasho, been watin' on some new eq for a minute now. i picked up that vintage collection even tho it was just a hits album and i already have all the vintage albums but qweezy need to drop another solo. i swear all his solo albums have been pure genius. not sayin his collabos have been weak (all the ones wit king nicky are some of my favorites of all time, and anything wit bored stiff on it is a sure buy for me, k.i.m. was great too), but i feel like he (equitpo) ain't as good on his newer collabo albums. track money & pack money, duffle bag money, hybrid, sin city are the ones i wasn't really feelin. no offense to the other artist (berner, estairy, k. dinero), they all did good especially berner, but quipto was the one that i wasn't feelin on those albums and that's hella hard for me to say bcuz equipto is my favorite rapper. what i think is that i'm not feelin' is when eq raps about pimpin and bitches i love when he raps about shit that means sumthin' to him, like when he rap about the stiff, his mom or his niece and nephew. i also like when he rap about the history of rap, frisco, or even his weed raps are sick. but what i like the most about equipto and i think he needs to get back to rappin about is when he tells stories wit his shit (some real fuckin poetic shit) and when he raps about rippin' MCs on the mic (like sayin' how some niggas is weak and can't contend wit a real MC) that shit be hella dope. it has that b-boy feel, like some niggas bout to start beat boxing, spittin' freestyles and some niggas in the background brakedancing, lol. if he does drop a collabo though that shit better be wit san quinn, every song they got together is fire. like i said before, the other artists he raps wit do they thing but for some reason i feel like quipto falls off on that shit. wit quinn, its different tho, they got chemistry; they go together.
i don't know if quipto be on here but if you listening (i know berner b on here and maybe he could let you know) but u should get back to doin' you, fuck rappin about bitches wit a more mainstream feel(i gives a fuck wat these new niggas say). i've been a fan since the 90s and got all yo cds (solos, group, collabos), but i'm just sayin' bruh stick wit yo origins and do you. i know all us stiff fans who waited all those years for another group album (from the ground up finally fed our hunger) want that real equipto feel. "hip hop iz, all about biz
They tell you, but know that its all for the kids
Or deep down, it's all for the folks you miss
So you thinkin about it next time you poppin' a thizz
Criticize me for the way that I live, give a fuck
Cuz you turned to burn the bridge" - equipto
