Make sure your cat knows his limits right away. If ya dont want him on your couch or counters, always tell him to stay off and then take him off. If hes an indoor cat you might want to get him declawed to save your furniture, or get a scratching post. Cats are hella cool though, mine likes chillin with me in the bathroom when im taking a shit, and she always greets me at the door when I come home. Fuck a dog...

cats are cool...I just fucking hate that they always shedding hair..my roommates have a cool ass siamese cat..it'll drop down and just let you pet teh shit out of it..i'm always fucking with it like throwing it all over the place but...but it sheds all over my computer chair and sofas..you can't sit anywhere without getting a shit load of grey hairs on you...DAMN CAT!!

Keep a spray bottle for if/when that cat does get out of line. Lucky it's not female. I was at my mom's for a week and their cat went into heat and would follow me everywhere and assume the position. Fuckin cat even started sneaking into my room at night don't ask me how the fuck it kept opening the door. Get the cat high and give it some catnip. Funny as hell.

cats are allergic to marijuana and might have some side effects....and you don't wanna go to the pet emergency room saying "my cat just ate my stash dr. dood!" so if you are going to get him high, make sure its only blowing smoke in its face....and change the cat litter....and your sheets, damn...
