yeah i had/have the same problem with the same exact computer, but its cuz of Panther bro... i dont think digidesign made the plug-in for it to work with the mbox yet, only for tiger. its been damn near a year so im sure they gotta have somethin for it by now... i kinda lost interest after a while and i jus started using this maudio interface i had laying around.

hit this up and see if it helps http://digidesign.com/index.cfm?navid=3&langid=100&

perhaps digidesign has to establish updated drivers for your computer or some shit
::
yea thats wut i meant, an updated driver, not plug-in.

also if you could, i'd take it back and get a laptop... i've noticed that intel macs arnt as strong and reliable for music as the powerpc macs like the macbookPros and the powerbooks

Apple wants you to buy Logic, so they keep Digi (soon to be Avid) out the loop...

I learned the hard way a while back - don't upgrade your OS before checking to see if it's supported by Digi (soon to be Avid)...

It isn't Panther. I'm running Panther and my MBox works just fine. Actually, I'd say the MBox is a piece of shit if anything.
