I swooped this album a couple of weeks back and it aint no way as bad as some of you was making out - in fact it has been growing on me the whole time.
Fo sure its no Mash Confusion because they haven't got Sickwidit flows or Sickwidit beats or Sickwidit emcees on there, but its definately aiight.
D-Day's flow is still way too cool, yeah the production is kind of different on some of the tracks with less of a mobb feel and more of a bounce to it but its cool.
The first track 'Can't Quit' is ill, that sample has been in my head for days. Plus the titile track is fire, and there are a couple of nice laid back cuts, the one with C-Bo and the last one on the album. Shit is clean, no way as bad as people have said. The only odd thing on the album is hearing Tay's kind of misplaced diss at Bayside & B-12.
Sure it ain't no classic, but there are plenty of weak albums about and to me this aint as bad as many of them, yeah there's one or two recycled tracks (from Sleepdank and Killa Tay albums?) and a couple of weak cuts, but overall its good to hear D-Day's trademark flow over some different beats.
Now all we need is Kaveo to drop his solo album... been waiting too long hoping for that.
