I'm down with the gimic style plublicity, but it don't work like that. Shit would probably never see any press, just courts, fees, royalties, infringements . . . .
And he don't care because he'll probably just point at you, cause you are responsible for what you sell them. Unless he's given you a written agreement that all artwork he's provided is original and not copyrighted (which is not the case for the girl) than you'll be hearing from them. Do you need that kind of plublicity? And you'd never hear from Outkast, probably some greedy modeling agency who manages her . . . Not too glamorous?
I'm just sayin' as a designer you're responsible for what gets printed / resold, not a rapper, that's why they need to stick to rapping and let management and A&R make publicity moves and decisions.
