Anyone got any suggestions on getting better with it? I'm learning how to do formulas since it's coming in handy with my job, but a good guide or useful tips besides just teh google would hella help.

yes. it is so much easier with just setting it up and then it just does the work for you. Then you start incorporating the two (word and excel) then throw in a third (powerpoint) lol.

yeah, I was about to take a class, I just quit my second job so now I'll have time.....well, I'm turning in my letter of resignation today....what I've learned has just been from people at work and the good old fashioned method of "just fuck around with it" which is how I learned most computer based things....

I took a class and used this book (really cheap) http://product.half.ebay.com/New-Pe...ft-Office-Excel-2003_W0QQtgZinfoQQprZ44181454

I did all the work at home anyways, so you don't really need the class. I did get stuck a few times, but I was able to figure it out.

I used to have a tutorial i created (which was brief) that demonstrated excel and word. I did this as a quick movie skit but i think its on my other hard drive. There's gotta be some print screen examples out there, i'm pretty sure.

Dude, the best way - besides somebody else instructing you - is hopping on google, typing in something like "excel tips", finding a good site, and getting to some SERIOUS reading. There are lots of sites dedicated solely to this program.

Sounds like you need to learn some new algorithms if you want to manage files better.

I used to use it at my job... but that was just doing basic spreadhseets

I've learned how to use the formulas and all that shit in different classes I've had

I used to have a book that explained how to use word, excel, and other programs... but I think it was using 2003, so it's pretty outdated anyways

but yeah... I don't really know how to help... so this post is pointless... yeah...

buy an excel book that will make you walk through the steps and learn hands on.

dont waste money on a class cuz they teach you out of the book.

my friend is going through the same thing. i just gave him my old excel book from 2001...old book, old look..SAME FORMULAS.
