Tunechi says he isn't sweating his latest album springing a leak.

Unless you're Jay-Z and Kanye West, it's an industry rule of thumb that an artist's album will leak days - or even weeks - in advance.

So when Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV leaked five days in advance, the Young Money head honcho did the only thing he could: take it in stride.

We did real good this time, real good," said Wayne in an interview with MTV News following his VMA performance. "It just means people want to hear it. I mean, 'cause there're people's albums that come out that can be leaked and don't leak, so I'm glad mines leaked."

Clearly, the leak hasn't significantly slown Tha Carter IV's sales down, as the album is projected to sell just under one million copies in its first week, and has broken the the first-week iTunes sales record.

"I think we should still do well," said Mack Maine of the project. "The leak shouldn't have affected it that much. Actually, this is the first time that the albums leaked so close [to the release date]. Tha Carter III leaked two weeks before and we still did [1 million] the first week. So if history repeats itself, we shouldn't have any problems."

I'm glad it leaked also. Got the songs I wanted and that's all I need lol

Garuntee'd purchases from me would be future Three 6 Mafia albums, DJ Quik albums, Certified albums, and Tech N9NE albums. E-40 used to be on that list, but his past few albums have disappointed me.

Its getting to the point with mainstream artists that record sales aren't the major way these people are getting money. The album is the basis of marketing the artist himself to get asses in seats to watch them perform, publishing money to use their music in movies, TV advertising etc and to sell posters and T shirts and shit and get ascap money from getting singles on the radio, MTV and such. This is why alot of independent artists are broke because they are focusing too much on selling records that many people are just going to DL for free anyways. Radio stations, MTV, companies who want your music for marketing and advertising purposes, merchandisers etc are obligated to pay the artist for using their music and image. Technically fans are obligated to buy and not illegially DL ones album but the problem is uncontrollable.

I might be wrong, but I imagine those that listen and buy country wouldn't be tech savvy enough to download it in the first place.
