Thanks to all the fans for supporting J.Davinci's Butter and Gunz street LP. For those who have not heard of him or want to know more, check out this article from West Coast Rydaz.

He is San Francisco's next in line, and he paints pictures without a brush, but his mouthpiece brings you a vivid picture of his lyrics and story. Infamous J Davinci released his second project, Butter and Gunz just weeks ago, in preparation for his debut album "Mona Lisa", his ultimate masterpiece. West Coast Rydaz caught up with the young artist to offer some free downloads off the mixtape, as well as get a few words from JD himself in an exclusive interview...

West Coast Rydaz: You bring a real lyrical edge with your raps, and paint pictures with your words, similar to an artist such as Leonardo DaVinci. Is this how you came up with your rap name, J Davinci?

Infamous J. Davinci: Chea! That's lightweight how I came up wit the name Davinci. My real last name is Devore so thats another way I came up wit it. Just fuckin around and playin wit words one day, and it stuck. Feel me?

West Coast Rydaz: How much of an influence were today's known Fillmore talent (San Quinn, Messy Marv, JT) in your decision to rap?

Infamous J. Davinci: Man them dudes showed every young nigga in Fillmoe how to get this rap shit poppin on your own. Period! Especially Figg. Quinn, is from the same area as me so I always looked at him as a mentor, And I still do! Far more than music. It's so much shit goin on in Fillmoe right now and Quinn really shows us younger niggas with talent how to stay neutral and not get caught up in that bullshit.

West Coast Rydaz: You don't rap about the typical hood stuff and come with complex subject matter. How do you usually come up with your lyrics, right in the studio listening to the beat or do these things come to you as your living out your day?

Infamous J. Davinci: Man at this point words/music just spill outta me. I can't even tell you how it comes about, its just comes out. Feel me? Right there on the spot.

West Coast Rydaz: Talk about Thorobred and how that formed with you as their flagship artist...

Infamous J. Davinci: Now thorobred! That's that shit boy. It came up between myself, a couple affiliates in NY, L.A. and and another one of my guys in Louisiana came together and said lets push this line, put out nothin but hot shit, and make it a force to be reckoned with. We all felt like I was the dude to carry the load as far as the music so we keepin it pushin. Feel me?

West Coast Rydaz: Last year you connected with Deal Done Ent, how did this come about?

Infamous J. Davinci: Last year, the big homie Quinn, Kenny, and a few more heads at DD holla'd at me and brought me in with plans to make me the next big thing on Deal Done. I've always worked close with errybody on Done Deal, and we all grew up together so that was a no brainer. feel me?

West Coast Rydaz: So get into some of the producers you work with closely, and who will be featured throughout your debut "The Mona Lisa"...

Infamous J. Davinci: I got a collection of my own producers that I work with. Rashaad Wiggins, Al Jieh, Cozmo, Big D, Drastic Matter, Cello. But recently I been everywhere so I've been connecting wit alot of producers. I been gettin up wit one of Ray Cash's producers outta Cleavland by the name of Beat Knoxxx, Maxwell Smart out there in Brooklyn. I got so many tracks its gone be hard to say what's gone make it on my debut album right now.

West Coast Rydaz: You've spent some time in NY, how are they receiving bay area rap and your own talents? Any other regions you've hit up...

Infamous J. Davinci: NY is rockin wit me! We already moved thousands of Cd's out there. I was surprised! It picked up out there before it did in the bay. To be honest, its hard to feel out how they take the bay area as a whole, In other regions. feel me? Its kinda mixed. But who gives a fuck though. You know? As long as the artist out here keep making good music. Somebody is going to rock with you. But I'm gettin ready to do a 5 month promo-tour from every west coast major, and some small cities, to down south and some on the east too so I can keep the positive momentum from this street LP goin.
