There is so much big label bullshit in the stores now days, and they don't allow you to return the album even if it sucks. So fuck them, you expect everyone to buy every album they ever wanted?

and me as an artist, you want to hear the God Honest truth? I'm not going to encourge my shit getting bootlegged, but if it does I won't be mad at them, because I think as a music fan, and as a broke mothafucka who don't have 100 plus bucks just to spend on like 7 new albums. So if it happens to me, least the name will be out, and might sell more tickets to show.

PS some artist should be glad there album was bootlegged

for instance, I loaded A-Wax's 65 G'z In a Jordan Briefcase, and AP9. I'da never bought some shit from them, but then I heard that shit, and will most likey buy some new shit they put out, plus now they have the word of mouth factor going for them

and there's a lot of albums that get heard, but no one is willing to take the chance and buy... now they hear it, they'll probally buy it or become a fan of that album and buy the next one.

The technology is not going away, Share'ing - Swaping, Jacken' Files isn't going away... so as a Artist, you better embrace, and try to use it to your advantage, cause there no way in hell you can fight it

To be honest, I don't go into the Trades board, but it's always been stated in there that it's not prohibitted and I'll remind the mods there, but if I see a post saying they're selling CD-R's of someone else's shit, it's coming down. Simple as that. I'm not gonna get into philosophical debates with anyone about the "future" and what is bootlegging and what isn't or if I should "embrace" it or not..

All I know is if somebody sellin 5 albums for 5 dollars, Ima buy that shit! As it is now in the stores 5 albums would cost you an average of 75 dollars. I aint never gonna spend that kind of loot on cds. And I think thats how most people feel, especially with free music on the net! So your music aint gonna be heard cause nobody is gonna shell out that money for a cd that may or may not be wack. BUt if I could cop your album from the internet for free, then me, the consumer, is more likley to peep your shit, and if its dope, contribute to your pockets by paying to see your concert, your clothing line, whatever. The music alone aint paying nobodys bills anymore in this day and age. I know that your music is your bread and butter, but remember, your fans got to keep bread and butter on thier table as well... and if i could get your album for less than what your charging, best believe Ima take advantage of that...thats just the nature of this capitalistic country we live in... and dont front... all of you who talkin down on bootleggin, go look in your cd case - I know you got some cd-rs in there
