Yes, the market is flooded with crap, but I was hearing a lot more of that crap from the bay around the bayside era than I do nowadays. There's a lot better music being put out by the bay recently. Still tons of crap nobody wants to listen to.

This has been a problem for years now, when people started to put out bullshit comps and shit like that.........

We live in the place that its probably easiest to make a cd........

Any one can make songs, press up cd and make flyers and then suddenly become a rappper.........the bad thing is, is that it doesnt take talent to do this..............

We need to have some type of process that you have to go thru sop that you can be a rapper in the bay and be able to represent the bay...............

thats real shit, you should have to go thru a sreening process before you release an album, if you tight, you get the green light, if not, go home. I know it's far fuckin fetched and will never happen, ever, but sooner or later bay rap, ALL rap for that matter will be non-exsistant as far as being a lucrative business. I mean you seen it with soundscan #'s, records just aint sellin like they used to, imagine 10 years from now, I know that larglely due to buning cd's, free downloads and shit, but you HAVE to credit some of that to rap being the same shit after the same shit after the same shit.

If wack shit is sellin, it must not be wack to the people who are buying it.
I think times are changing and anyone who has a few dollars and a home studio can call themselves a rapper/Producer/Label. All these terms are used real loosely nowadays. But if a so called "wack" group or rapper is sellin records then I cant be mad at their hustle. People who complain about others being wack probably aren't gettin it......If they aint affecting your business, who cares. You can eat if you're hungry enough!

floodin the market. whats your opinion, do you think all the wack shit people puttin out now-a-days makin it harder on the dope indapendants?

In a way i think it is but then again alot of the real shit coming from the up and coming artist isnt the sound that alot of labels think is in style or like. Like with the bay, keak, 40 and alot of other bay rappers that our finally shinning have been out for years but big labels didnt wanna give them the chance at the time so i think thats part of the problem too.
