ok Reason i ask this is because i seen a bunch of debating between tha heads who bump the new mainstream rap shit and shit your hear on tha radio and tha cats who dont because they think its trash and i wanna know.

to those who do bump new shit and SUPPORT it... no tellin who actually cops it but anyways.
This one cat said "y'all keep bumpin that classic 90's music& stay stuck in a time zone."

i dont care to listen to non "classic music" i jus cant listen to some bullshit thats so depthless that i'm not gonna care about it once i play it out.
Disposable Bullshit in my opinio0n is a waist of time even tryinna out.

Do any of y'all think you'll be bumpin what's "HOT RIGHT NOW" after uummm RIGHT NOW IS OVER?

Here's the thing though.... if an underground artist makes a hit that makes it on the radio then everyone will be all over the track. What do you do then?

In essence I like to be different and not listen to what the next man is bumping. But being in the Bay Area everyone nowadays knocks MAC DRE constantly. He's not well known but IMO he's played out and he hasn't even made radio success.

I usually know what's going on in radio rotation, but I only really fuck with a few artists. Most aren't worth having a second thought about.

Right now, I own 4 rap albums. 3 Tech N9ne, and 1 King Gordy. I never had many, but I threw them away. Disposable? Yes.

i love mainstream, basically becuase im usualy more into the beat then tha person rapping, and mainstream shyt always got the best producers, dont get me wrong tho i still bump underground shyt because theres alot of producers that are very under-rated like sean-t for example....

well if an underground cats gets on tha radio into the mainstream it's only trash if he makes it trash remember i aint talkin about mainstream or underground i'm talkin bout Classic Music that you'll listen to for years to come VS. Disposable music thats hot for the moment and you wont ever look back on it once it's played out.

there was a time when you could hear a song and knnow it was from daygo, or la, st louis, houston. like every city, every region had their own distinctive sound. now, everyvody sounds the same, the beats sound the same, the subject matter is the same. and you might think i am crazy, but i think this was planned for music to be garbage like this.

I don't listen to mainstream because I can't stand the fucking beats themselves. Of course the lyrics and topics are played out and stupid as well, but I personally can't stand the production side of shit these days. It ALL sounds the same, silly techno-trance influenced beats. IMHO, the production is what creates the stupid ass lyrics we hear today. You just can't spit REAL shit or be taken seriously on some of these corny ass club beats. The beats are too loud, too fast and just too much going on for the lyrics to send a message through all that noise. People only really remember the hooks these days, not the versus, shit is highly gay if you ask me. "THROW SOME D'S ON THAT BITCH!" , "Ballin!", cmon now. :ermm:

I want to hear some grimey ass shit, slightly slower, more nature instruments like piano, guitar, basslines (not pitched 808 kicks), strings, chords, all that good shit that created the 90's.

Recently, the best shit I've heard IMO Production wise:

The Game - Doc's Advocate
WC - Guilty By Affiliation
Spider Loc - West Kept Secret

A LOT of people HATE him, but that Spider Loc album goes hard, production wise. People can think what they want as far as lyrics go, call him a fake C-BO, whatever, but the production on that album goes HARD. It's just real shit and sounds HIPHOP, not this fucking Dance-Hop, whatever the fuck we have these days. Shit has SOUL, unlike the shit today.

I don't give a fuck if somethin is mainstream or underground or somewhere in the middle as long as its good music. For instance the new Snoop is mainstream music, but its good music. I don't know yet if I would call it classic, but I probably wouldn't call it disposable either.

music is really good,

Game is on the radio, Rick Ross, Lil wayne(even i dont listen to the homo), nas is on the radio, dipset, Jay z, Young Jeezy, Kanye west, three 6 mafia, UGK, Webbie,

I dont think its that the music isnt good, but the radio is annoying

I listen only to a few stations, but not too much, cause the DJ's are so wack

i get like a headache, from all the bad mixing, techno- hip hop mixes, crazy horns and disorted screaming, all that other stuff

power 106 is the worse, there are a few times when i heard a good Dj in that station

but i cant seem to hear the DJ's name, and i dont memorize the hour

oh yeah, like that time that those wackass DJ's "accidentally" played their own music they had recorded,

and they make all this lil scenarios to excuse themselves for playing their own recordings

Radio is wack,

im starting to think that radio Jockey's are wack artists that never made it

get some XM radio, shit is good

I say fuck tha mainstream!
Most mainstream rapper are wack as hell!
50 Cent, G-Unit-Whateva-Bullshit, Jay-Z (yeah I think he sucks), D. Diddy (nuff said, but sucks), Soulja Boy (he really needs to get a headshot),...
These guy just say the same shit N.W.A. said in '90, but in a pussy manner, you really think I'm intersed in fuckin' R'n'B? I wanna hear hardcore rap!

I don't say all mainstream sucks, but most of it does!
