I've been contemplating buying one of these shits for a long ass time, and I've almost bought one a few times but I just didn't know if it'd be worth the scratch. If I get one, I'm goin' all out and gettin' the 60gb piece. Let me hear your opinions on these devices. One of the things that has kept me from getting one is the ability to use it in my car instead of using cds. I don't want to use those shitty ass FM transmitters, and I am not sure of how easy it is to adapt my stock in dash 6 CD changer to have RCA inputs to plug the shit in.......

well i bought one about the 16th of December of 2005 and it was 325 with taxes for the 30 gb one........then about 2 months ago my computer crashed and I took it to get fixed....guess what they did.erased EVERYTHING i had in my comp. they like reinstalled windows or something and now i cant take my cd's and burn them or something...but i fixed it so now every time i plugg in my ipod to my comp. it wont update the ipod into having just about 3 or 4 albums instead of having the forty something i had on my computer before....the videos are pretty good on it.....i had about 7 WHOLE movies on it (16 Bloocks, Final Destination 3, The Hills Have Eyes, Saw 2, Scary Movie 4,Grandma's Boy, Treal TV. 23109) but then i erased them and now i dont have any on there anymore oh and i had 5 anime episodes on there and about 6 music videos.....

i actually regret getting the ipod....i was in the arden mall in the apple store and I hella thought about it right there in the store...get an iPod or get PSP but the Game Stop was a little far away and i was too lazy to go so i just got the iPod and......i regret it

it was christmas time and they had the PSP about 2 games and a bigger memory card on sale for less than what the ipod costed.

I got a creative zen micro. The reason I like it so much is that it also serves as a usb hard drive. So if I need to take some files to work or a newly downloaded dvd I can throw it on my Creative zen and pop it into a usb port on any other computer. You can also just drag and drop folders so if u got albums in folders just move em right to the player. Thing's got an FM radio and recorder too. Also, last thing i swear, I just bought a cool JVC deck at circuit city that has a USB port right in the face so I can plug the Creative Zen Micro straight into my reciever.

main reason why iPod is worth it to me is cause I got a hookup in the BMW for it.....I never hafta fuck with CDs
That's my main reason for wanting one. I fuckin' hate dealin' with CDs any more. I know they make an adaptor for my stereo to make the Ipod plug in, but I just don't know if I should drop the green on it......

Creative Zen > Ipod
I've never used an Ipod, but I got the Creative Zen (30 gb) about a month ago and I like it a lot. I'm told that the battery life and the video screen is better on the Zen than the ipods, but I can tell you that the advertised battery life is inaccurate unless you just let it sit there and play for hours without even touching it. Also if you want to hook the Zen up to anything (home/car stereo, etc.) you need to buy adapters. I think the ipod basically comes with everything you need. Other than that, I think the Zen is a real good purchase.

BUT, I don't think any mp3 player is worth the price they charge.

Any mass storage mp3 player is worth it, no cd's and you can have a chunk of your collection on one device. Unplug it take it to work, gym and back to the car. Get something!

that sounds better than an iPod.....apple designed it so u cant use it as a Hard drive..and you cant really just drag and drop stuff either

At first it wasnt drag and drop, and for me that sucked. They did a firmware update "play for sure" or some shit, and not it just makes shit wayyyyy easier.

There is a program you can get that will allow you to take all the music on your ipod and transfer it back to your computer. I cant remember the name, but I used it and it worked perfectly. Check www.ipodlounge.com, they have a link to it there, there is a free trial which is all you really need...

it's copypod. get at me and i'll find you a link for the DL & crack if you can't find it.

and it was damn worth getting an ipod!! i was contemplating about it for daaaaays about either getting an ipod and following the trend or another ipod competitor. finally decided on ipod. found a good nice one on craigslist.. didnt want a mini or a nano or shuffle cause the harddrive space is shiiiiiit. i got hellaa music so i had to get anything over 20+ gb. video ipod was too expensive so other than that.. it was the photo and that was just 20gb, so i might as well get the original of 40gb. yeah its 'old' cause of the new generation ones.. but its still good. no other company outbeats ipod..

well i got one about a year ago...and i had to return it cuz updating it when u have bootleg music(kazza,limewire,soulseek,etc.).. soppousbly fucks it up...but w.e....well the screen scratched already..the battery life keeps dying quicker and quicker now...but uhh..either then that..it saves me a lot of trouble from burning cds..it doesn't skip when ur runnnin.. and all the songs on my comp fit in my ipod so i can play it on any sterio to where ever i go..good invention
