I need some technical help with this one. I deleted my sound driver one day on accident. I've found it online, and have it on my computer, but can't load it. Does anyone know how to do that shit? It's in a zip file, i have it unzipped and everything, but it just says that i cannot open or read the file :dead:

Try going into Control Panel > System > click Hardware tab > Add Hardware Wizard, and then follow the onscreen prompts, choose the unzipped folder with your sound driver and windows will find the driver and install it.

theres only one thing i got to say to people that say what you just did... have fun dealing with viruses and spyware

in the 2 years of having a mac as my main computer, i've never once found a virus (except for the ones that were on 14 year old 3.5 inch floppies that i loaded on the computer), had a system hang, or had my hard drive crash... in my PC days those were a fact of life and systems hangs were bi-hourly every single day... and if anything, i put my mac through more shit than i did with my PC... so lol @ your mac is wack statement

nah, what happened was, I was tryna get rid of stuff I never use on my comp, and I had like 6 programs for studio software to make beats and shit, but since I can't get my midi cables to work with my keyboard, i just said fuck it and was gonna delete them. All of them were something along the lines of sound plus, sound magic etc.... and the sound card was direct sound..... It's all bad

Everything that ever went wrong cleaned up VERY nicely. And now that i got my hardware right, my comp is running extremely smoothe.

You almost sound like a nerdy kid with thick glasses, making fun of someone with contacts because they have to take them out every night and put them back in the next morning.....some things are worth the patience.
