For those who think thizz fell off. well here we go to all u new fans that dont know they history whether thizz fell off or not. this all sterted from the crest all crest rappers will still have the crest to lean on. First we had stricly business then it went to romp records then it went to young black brother then thizz came. look we do this cus we from from tha streets. and all labels turned out to be big labels. so if you think the crest is going to stop because thizz fell off we still have the crest name. we still have the top sellers we dont need myspace or none of that shit. we are well established with nation wide distribution. no cd baby .com or computers to sell units just branches of names that came from under mac dre, dubee, sleepdank ,mac mall , duna,j-diggz, crest creepaz, coolio da unda dogg, tha mac, daddy of tha hood, reek daddy, still winning. all of our cd's sell. so if you think thizz fell off so what we still have the mighty crest. lets see if your hood can start as many successful labels and still keep kickn. and to all tha up and comin rappers do me a favor and sell some units nation wide thank you

I'm glad Thizz fell off.

Crestside shouldn't be defined in just this way.

Some of the best rap I've ever heard in my life was out the Crest and "Thizz" tho good with promotion, kind of jaded all the real talent and great music derived from this place.

The Crest oozes music.
And has been recognized long b4 the days of thizz, and im sure will continue long after....I dont think its a fair argument 2 say just cuz Thizz died dont mean the Crest did....

I Think the Crest deserves far more credit than jus the Thizz era.

It seems like Thizz after MD died followed the Master P/No Limit business model of "Quanity over Quality". They saw they had a moment and completely captolized off MD's death and ran the whole thing into the ground.

I miss YBB records.

i think people are just upset with the CONSTANT recycling being label as "BRAND NEW" and "UNRELEASED"
this right here

stop recycling tracks and giving them different names to act like they're new

I feel like that's disrespecting the fans... I'm sure Thizz is still selling some units... but sorry THIZZ FELL OFF!

THIZZ WAS THE MOST POPULAR LABEL IN THE BAY FOR A QUICK MINUTE BUT PUT OUT ALOT OF GARBAGE RELEASES SIGNED SOME GARBAGE ARTISTS AND USED WEAK PRODUCTION FOR THE ALBUMS THEY PUT TOGETHER NOT TO MENTION THE RECYCLING. A FEW GOOD ALBUMS WERE RELEASED ON THIZZ AFTER MAC DRE DIED BUT NOT MANY.

YBB ON THE OTHER HAND RELEASED NOTHING BUT CLASSICS THROUGHOUT THE 90'S UNTILL THEY LOST THIER MAJOR DEAL AND ALOT OF THE ARTISTS JUMPED SHIP BUT THE LEGACY OF YBB IS ALOT GREATER THAN THE LEGACY OF THIZZ IS BECAUSE THEY NEVER TARNISHED THIER REPUTATION THE WAY THIZZ DID BY PUTTING OUT HALF ASSED PRODUCT

Thizz fell off as far as street presence and participating in giving the bay area a identity. Mac Dre started to give the bay its own sound and look. when he died no1 was around to build up on it. I see the Thizz van scrappin past LMC every other day. But im wonderin where's the music at? They supposed 2 be bumpin watever they got out. I wouldnt even consider town thizzness as part of thizz. Thats Livewire witta Thizz stamp of approval.

U CANT COMPLAIN ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE 40 NOT PUTTIN NOBODY BUT HIS FAMILY ON, THEN WHEN OTHERS TRY N GIVE NEW COMERS A SHOT COMPLAIN THAT THEY WACC! FOR EVERY THIZZ DRAGONS, THERES A MONEY GANG MOB! THERE WAS ALOT OF GOOD MUSIC PUT OUT BY THIZZ, N SOME WASNT THAT GREAT! NO DIFFERENT THEN A MAJOR LABEL 2 ME! BUT AS FAR AS THE DANKER TALKIN BOUT UNITS N DISTRIBUTION THATS THAT OLD SHIT! KIDS BY MUSIC N WHENS THE LAST TIME U CN A KID BUMPIN A CD PLAYER N NOT A I-POD?? THE NOW N FUTURE OF MUSIC IS DIGITAL!! JUST MY 2CENTS!!!

all I know is ever since Mac Mall joined Thizz, it sounds like whoever runs the Quality Assurance department fell off. Its like Khayree made Mall go hard in the booth, now hes just tryin to be a Mac Dre imitator. No disrespect just callin it how I see it.

same thing goes for ray luv and his last album, everyone is trying to make a club hit now
